so which 'top' southampton restaurant was this?
-
who was?
-
was a reply to Dig Dig comment above that a protest wouldn't work! Just looking on the other side that if it did work what Cortese might do! Call Nigel and say he'd made a mistake! What else could possibly be the outcome of this hankie protest?
-
this!! v funny
-
I disagree. I met him, his wife (wow by the way) and his son and he was both engaging and charming. We spoke for nearly an hour and he was interested in my business and set up a meeting at the club on the strength of that one conversation. Cortese makes tough business decisions for the good of the business which he lives and dies by. He hasn't got too much wrong other than an inability to communicate to people who buy his product who constantly whinge about everything and every time he tries to make it better they whinge more. When it does get better they find something else to whinge about. He hasnt raided peoples pension pots or used slave labour or not paid tax or gone bust without paying creditors. So please do tell me why he isnt a nice human being?

we must not lose Lambert this window or we are doomed!
-
for instance that NC is not a nice human being. When asked what he means by that, he says nothing! Wont talk about it! Matts a decent guy and should take the chance to make himself bigger than this and be an ambassador for the club whether being paid to do it or not
-
I agree with you that Matt was a genius and our greatest ever player and I for one adored him, but these snidey unsubstantiated comments about Cortese whenever the opportunity presents itself are damaging the club with negative press and serve no purpose. With his job he holds a great amount of power and like spiderman with great power comes great responsibility End your feud with Cortese like Punch did and move on 'together as one'

The Mirror: 'Tensions over transfers saw Adkins sacked'

as adkins was a keeper, you'd think he could spot a good one! -
Hello, is that Nigel? I know you're on holiday now getting some sun, I'm really sorry, but can you come back please because I've made a terrible mistake letting you go! I just saw the white hanky waving protest on Sky and it was then that I could see the error of my ways! No hard feelings mate?
-
the Leibherrs are all away skiing at the moment in St Moritz and don't know about this yet!
-
depends if guly comes on at 75 minutes or even starts for that matter!!!
-
i still find it hilarious that MLT calls it a #laughingstock when he fronted a consortium bid with no money to buy the club and become chairman? When it comes to egos, there's only one soapbox with a megaphone I can hear!
-
the only way a protest would work is if there was someone who would listen like Askham did, like rupert did! The reason why this is pointless is that nobody cares what SISA think anymore and Cortese isnt answerable to anyone. NC believes he's acting in the best interests of a multi-million pound business so why should he give a f*ck what anyone thinks. We are supporters and we want saints to do well. Who's to say that Cortese hasn't got it right again? As for Nigel, thanks for everything, you're a multi-millionaire now made for life with an impeccable CV!! Life is so unfair!!

go and hack some phones!

Why has no one mentioned Les Reed in the NA debacle?
saint_sinner replied to thefuzz247's topic in The Saints
was he at the press conference explaining what the club were doing? -
Le Tiss? Nigel? Lawrie Mac? The fans appointed spokesmen? - McMillan & Callaghan (who talk cr*p and dont speak for me and they clearly appointed themselves) Probably le tiss as he's on the payroll!
-
the change was out of nowhere but was made swiftly and decisively after weeks/months of Cortese working in the background. The decision to sack Nigel was definitely made before Christmas with Pochettino saying he'd been watching the team for weeks at his press conference. Cortese got it right when he sacked Pardew and appointed Nigel so who's to say he hasnt got it right again? A monkey could have got us out of league 1 with that budget and Nigel nearly didnt get us promoted to the premiership nearly blowing it at the end. Is Nigel the right man to take us forward? Absolutely not and I think he should have been replaced in the summer At least we aren't having to unsettle the squad further with a caretaker manager!

Merson is such a t w a t

fans were still upset about it after the 'Cup win' though!
