That's the spirit!

As per Alfie House on the Total Saints podcast this week, both Bree and Taylor are in the last year of their contracts.
-
Plus playing down his involvement is a useful way of deflecting questions in press conferences.

Armel Bella-Kotchap - Official: Loaned to Verona
LordHester replied to Ldnsaint's topic in The Saints
True; though of course Verona will know this and, even if his loan works out well, only offer him a contract once we've released him on a free. -
Yes, because goals conceded are definitely the sole responsibility of the keeper, and not the defenders in front of him; nor the midfielders who lose the ball when too far up the pitch.
-
Baz and Stephens instrumental in a win. Let the meltdown begin!

The Horticultural Thread for Club Plants (Split)
LordHester replied to ally_uk's topic in The Saints
Jeezus, when there's over a page of speculation as to who might or might not be a club plant, you know the rumour mill has gone *very* quiet. -
Yes, but it's the Scum, so it's probably muck-raking bollox.
-
It *is* just possible that claretandhugh.info is a load of old clickbait bolox, of course.
-
And this is the classic tactic in defending the indefensible: I am right because I'm believe I'm right, and no amount of reasoned, factual argument will change my mind.
-
Yeah, that's what I thought too. Speculation written for clicks.
-
Don't know about the reliability of the original source, but the fact that the one player pictured isn't a Saints player any more doesn't fill me with confidence.
-
Or someone who's *been* in Wetherspoons for several hours ...
-
Mbeumo was 19 (just) when he signed for Brentford too. I'd like to think anyone of that age scoring 15 goals in their first season would be regarded pretty well.
-
Definitely wouldn’t get past him in the queue for the pie van.
-
Can we just play Tall Paul in goal, then we'll solve two problems in one go?
-
Plus Hummel are still on there, so there'll be some updating to be done once contracts have ended.
-
Of course they count for something, but that's not the point the OP was making.
-
He's a 38 year old, who's been a manager for 5 years. Is he really just going to take a job now because his stock won't rise any higher? I'd be surprised if he wasn't aiming slightly higher for the rest of his managerial career.
-
Sounds great - buying an injured striker with Scottish connections has worked incredibly well this season.
-
I say this for no other reason that context, but I believe that statistics say Wesley Hoedt is one of the best defenders in the Championship; but I doubt many would have him back to St Mary's.
-
I'm not saying he's crap, but Carillo's record since leaving Saints isn't exactly stellar - a couple of goals this season in the Chinese Super League. Onuachu's record pre Saints is far better than Carillo's has been at any time, so there's a chance there's a good player in there with the right system.
-
Only to put the bins out.

Of all the concerns about our club right now, this wouldn't be high up on my list. Especially since we do have a striped kit this year.
