  1. It *is* just possible that claretandhugh.info is a load of old clickbait bolox, of course.
  2. And this is the classic tactic in defending the indefensible: I am right because I'm believe I'm right, and no amount of reasoned, factual argument will change my mind.
  3. Yeah, that's what I thought too. Speculation written for clicks.
  4. Don't know about the reliability of the original source, but the fact that the one player pictured isn't a Saints player any more doesn't fill me with confidence.
  5. Or someone who's *been* in Wetherspoons for several hours ...
  6. Mbeumo was 19 (just) when he signed for Brentford too. I'd like to think anyone of that age scoring 15 goals in their first season would be regarded pretty well.
  7. Definitely wouldn’t get past him in the queue for the pie van.
  8. Can we just play Tall Paul in goal, then we'll solve two problems in one go?
  9. Plus Hummel are still on there, so there'll be some updating to be done once contracts have ended.
  10. Of course they count for something, but that's not the point the OP was making.
  11. He's a 38 year old, who's been a manager for 5 years. Is he really just going to take a job now because his stock won't rise any higher? I'd be surprised if he wasn't aiming slightly higher for the rest of his managerial career.
  12. Sounds great - buying an injured striker with Scottish connections has worked incredibly well this season.
  13. I say this for no other reason that context, but I believe that statistics say Wesley Hoedt is one of the best defenders in the Championship; but I doubt many would have him back to St Mary's.
  14. I'm not saying he's crap, but Carillo's record since leaving Saints isn't exactly stellar - a couple of goals this season in the Chinese Super League. Onuachu's record pre Saints is far better than Carillo's has been at any time, so there's a chance there's a good player in there with the right system.
  15. Only to put the bins out.
  16. Of all the concerns about our club right now, this wouldn't be high up on my list. Especially since we do have a striped kit this year.
  17. Isn't the blue one a bit ... Pompey?
  18. But does he track back?
  19. I know Leeds fans who say you'd be mad to think they'll come straight back up next year.
  20. The clocks don't go forward until March 26th next year, so ... yeah.
  21. Salisu and Moi were injured before the West Ham game; Long and KWP injured during the game. No-one's availability has been affected by being rested for the cup match, so I'm not sure what your point is?
  22. Not doubting @Dan Sheldon, The Athletic's journalistic credentials, but the idea that he reported it before the pattern had been spotted by legions of EPL analysts is ... interesting.
  23. Cycled past their training ground earlier. Two lads pinning up a protest banner opposite the entrance - I had to point out that they were putting it up back to front.
  24. Not least because Murdoch isn’t involved with Sky anymore.
  25. Anyone know if it's likely to be on tv anywhere?
