How has Guly lasted this long, it will feature on an Arthur C Clarke in a few years I am sure.

Poch's history lesson....as per the Echo

Our first XI was not our strongest as many were on the bench regardless of the goalkeeper, your post is wrong. -
Any team selection with Guly in it lacks ambition.

Where was Boruc? Fonte, Rodriguez and Schneiderlin were on the bench! Your post is factually incorrect. -

I thought we only wanted the Champions League? Seems strange you play a weakened side to get there (Europa League) the easier way, maybe he really does rate this squad really highly after all.......................... -
Mark Twain is a poor example as he made some absolute whoppers of mistakes in his life. Great man but pulling out common throwaway quotes from him is not really relevant, what next a pearler from Oscar Wilde?

Some on here I believe would be ideal with the spin they give for bizarre decisions and the performances by the players, a deflector shield is an absolute must for the job.

Because we had something to play for in the relative comfort of knowing we wont go down, we didn't take that chance 100% by fielding our strongest side, we would rather concentrate on the League which we wont win, a lack of ambition and respect all the way around. -
Would you change positons with Sunderland?
Barry Sanchez replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
I am going to believe a Sunderland fan on this more than some, I certainly would swap with you, our season is now tepid, dull and like a 70's housing estate. So my point was and is valid. -
Wondered why I had to use a sky account to join, correct it must stop people from joining, how do people seem to have multiple accounts?
-
I will pretend to understand that, sorry no I wont what do you mean?

£5 a year is not a lot to be fair is it, a couple of pints max.

Who follows who and references them? The art of small living and hypocrisy by Pap DeMeerkat.

Says the man who got so angry he posted a picture of himself outside a retail patk with the Liverpool Echo to justify himself and his existence, Pap repost that belter, I can honestly it is one of the funniest and desperate things I have seen in all my life.

Says the person who wrote I would be murdering people of colour to get a laugh, classy and you still have not apologised for it, how many of these trolls as you put it are rude and write anything near to as despicable as you did?

Would you change positons with Sunderland?
Barry Sanchez replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
I would have changed positions with them a long time ago, my position on that is clear, why? Because they have an opportunity to actually win things, I bet the City is buzzing dont you? -
I can not wait for this match. I hope Guly and Hooiveld play again, they have earned it.
-
Very good support if you ask me.

Say they win both Cups and stay up? -
Yes, people always look back and see their era or a previous time as better to suit their own personal agenda, it is a natural and basic defence mechanism, dont like what you read so thiknk of it as rubbish. It was probably exactly the same 5 years ago but with someone else saying the same thing as you.

The real reason that we sacrificed the cups...
Barry Sanchez replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
Its the opportunity not fully taken, a slack effort in the approach and the actual event itself and Eric with the greatest of respect all pros agree on this so I would listen to them more than yourself, no offence intended. -
Why would we take then if we spurned it now?

But to have tried and had a go than collect a medal for finishing 9th-6th. -
That could be said for an awful lot of teams fans, why? Tribalism, love of the game, tradition, love of the club, many factors but the issue is here we have or had an opportunity they would die for and we threw it away, not by the result as that does not matter, its in the fact of not trying, it sends out a Manhcester Unitedesque attitude to the Cup, so much so we did not regardless of what Sunderland did deserve to go through.
