  1. But I don't think anyone on here has hyped to the hills. It's usually the England manager and the media who do that. I think at most people on here see his potential and are wanting to counter those that write him off so quickly. I like the player.
  2. Still do!
  3. That is weak!
  4. 25 April, PL. You up for it?
  5. Negative vibe from our supporters? Soon as he's free from the shackles of our fans, he scores....
  6. LOL! Oh dear Osvaldo! Great you picked the Saints, very cool to have a fan amongst us from the other side of the world. And good to have a scout/expert in Argentina. I'm sure you'll have lots to bring this forum...
  7. Ok, point well made. But there's still a part of me that feels pride even when they've done well. I just can't help it!
  8. Oh gotcha! Yes, that is very true. I guess you could say we need to cover all bases, rather than just worship out there, mad, unpredictable creativity for all that it is.
  9. Spread the love to the mods too! They work for free and no one ever says thank you. Rock on Jimmy!
  10. I like it when northern people say love...
  11. What did I miss?! Shoot, haven't been paying attention...
  12. And quit s*cking up to Turks and Bateman. When things turn nasty, they'll ditch you at the drop of a hat! And it will be too late to come running to me!
  13. You said be, not have!
  14. There's definitely truth in that observation. I thinks there's also a lot of respect for loyalty here, and likability as a person. Possibly more so at Southampton than other clubs in England as well. The thing that bothers me is how unforgiving we can be of the more creative players. But I suspect that comes from those who don't really understand what it means to be creative. What brings you to Saintsweb?
  15. It's like Cortese vs Adkins. Just cruel!
  16. Quit bullying the mods!!
  17. I always support the underdog. Can a mod be an underdog?
  18. He's just trolling you, Pap.
  19. Haha. Nice one Jimmy!
  20. Are you joining us, Crazy?
  21. Just bought my ticket for Spurs! God, we better win this. Anyone up for a post match drink? It's an early start...
  22. Talent, comes in all shapes and forms. He's not particularly my kind of comedian, but any Brit having a go at making it in the States, has got a lot of respect from me. I wish him well. Sorry. Though I do think you need to set the bar a little higher for being disturbed.
  23. I love to see a Brit doing well in the States. It's bloody hard to achieve, and is the opposite of talentless, even though his style may not be your kind of thing.
  24. Very eloquently put, Halo. You've brought Philip Larkin to mind: Slowly light strengthens, and the room takes shape. It stands plain as a wardrobe, what we know, Have always known, know that we can’t escape, Yet can’t accept. One side will have to go. Meanwhile telephones crouch, getting ready to ring In locked-up offices, and all the uncaring Intricate rented world begins to rouse. The sky is white as clay, with no sun. Work has to be done. Postmen like doctors go from house to house.
