Some Tweets Saying We Have Borrowed Against Future Season Ticket Sales
docker-p replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
CAN I TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO REMIND EVERYONE WE WERE NEVER 35 MINS AWAY FROM DEFINIETELY GOING OUT OF BUSINES FOREVER. One look at how PFC limp on with no new stadium, or training ground, 10 times the debt and only half the support of SFC should have put paid to that rumour years ago. It does sound very romantic though. -
All the talk about Adkins getting sacked !!! If i were Adkins i would walk. He has not had the backing of the CEO during the transfer window to get in the players HE wants, so why should he carry the can for Cortese?
-
There are several experienced CEO's out there who could do a far better job than Cortese, I'm sure the Liebherr family are looking at options to replace him.
-
Maybe if he had spent the Liebherrs money more wisely, we wouldn't be conceding 14 goals in four games. If Cortese sacks Adkins, then the Liebherr family should sack Cortese.
-
Cortese. Adkins identified defenders and a keeper he wanted, Cortese delivered strikers he and Reed wanted. Our CEO was happy enough to take all the praise from our back to back promotions, now he has to take responsibility for not getting in the players Adkins needed.
-
LOL, yep because any other CEO with the Liebherrs backing would have us still fumbling around in Div1 . LOL Get over yourself. Cortese is an embarrassment to SFC
-
Cortese has achieved nothing at Saints that any other CEO would have done with the same backing. So lets knock off this idea that somehow Cortese and Cortese alone is responsible for promoting us. On the contrary, Cortese has done a lot that more experienced CEO's would know NOT to do. Falling out with the Echo is a good example. NC's pettiness AGAIN in banning the Echo has cut off a useful tool in communicating with people not currently engaged with the club, remember how there was next to know press about the preseason friendlies?? And think about the free press previous sponsors have got from the Echo and then think whether the lack of attention to our current sponsor was reflected in the amount the pay? Look at how sh1te the ticket office is now, how empty the executive boxes are, how 1,000 plus tickets were't sold that could have been for Man U because the ticket office screwed up. All things any worthwhile CEO would have running smoothly as a priority. But all this is peanuts surely to club with TV money now and a wealthy family??? But when the Good people from the Liebherr family decide to pull out and we're left with a club who's entire commercial activity has been neglected as has happened under NC things we will look a lot less stable. It is worth remembering NC had never run a marketing department, a commercial department, or employed anyone before coming to us. He was a banker with experience in running a desk.
-
MLT is the greatest footballer to date ever to play for Saints. And 100% loyal one club player. Cortese can bang his own head against a brick wall.
-
Why would anyone 'love' a CEO of a football club!!!!! Even if they were doing a good job, which often Cortese isn't.
-
He is a petty tw*t nearly all the time. The sooner the Liebherr family get shot and install someone with more experience the better.
-
I think someone was telling porkies about our attendance yesterday. I don't think there was as many there as the official attendance claims. The attendance was poor for several reasons that the club can't do anything about, rescission, holidays, unattractive opposition. But also poor for several reasons it can do something about. Poor ticketing system, poor communication/ promotion within local press (yes the club does need the Echo), and bad pricing policy.
-
I think you're absolutely right. In so many areas of the club operations simple errors are made that wouldn't be if there was a more experienced hand on the helm. People forget NC has no experience of running any sort of business before arriving here. He was a banker, looking after wealthy peoples investments, not a businessman running a business. What would be best for Saints is the Liebherr family to replace NC with someone with experience in running a top football club.
-
I'm sure supporting the club to you is all about buying the latest shirt each year and thinking up new chants. But to some people it's about community and when the local club doesn't support the local community it's a great pity. You 'joke' about a Pompey conspiracy, but as has been pointed out the guy handing out all these contracts to Portsmouth firms is a Portsmouth fan.
-
Lucketts is full of Pompey supporters. FACT. I know one. I would never travel on a Lucketts for anything. First the Southampton company printing the programme for years is pushed aside for a portsmouth printer, and now this. The people who run Avensis and Princess are Saints fans and have given good service over the years to Saints. The club expects loyalty from the local community but it helps if it works the other way too.

Oh get over yourself you big girls blouse.

Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD
docker-p replied to Colinjb's topic in The Saints
I'm ******* amazed this thread is still going. There is no business reason to expand SMS. There is no money to expand SMS. There is no demand to expand SMS. We our the best supported club in the South outside London. But we have a ground that fits perfectly. This is just a load of Cortese's PR people trying to generate interest and debate, not a serious proposal to expand SMS. I fear for the future of our community if we have saps who take this sort of PR seriously. -
Our Future? Stadium Expansion Proposal on Season Ticket DVD

:lol::lol::lol: I didn't think there were still people around who believed the story that AC Milan had heard of NC let alone were after him. Well done sir. -
What a load of toe curling, arse licking nonsense. Makes you embarrassed to be British.
-
Nonsense. We were never, never, ever with knobs on, (even when in admin), going to go that way. We were/are far too a worthwhile investment, as has been proved. Marcus was not a Saints fan, he was a businessman. Fact.
-
When are we playing the Ted Bates Memorial Cup ?
-
Christ we've got some sappy fans. The flare was good, should be a regular thing.
-
You can bet all prices will go up exponentially and season tickets will go on sale well after all feel good factors have evaporated as last season, not least because we have a CEO who has never run more than a desk in his life and has proved with many of his decisions he hasn't got a clue what he is doing*. (*The Appointment of NA doesn't count as the world and his brother had identified NA as the best candidate, and then NC nearly blow that!)
-
Can everyone with an adult ticket for this game please not wear any fancy dress or paint their fookin faces. I'm sick of our support looking like mongs. Thanks in advance.
-
Support in numbers was good yesterday. But there it ends. Why oh why do people have to wear jester hats, paint their faces and generally make themselves look like ****s is beyong me. And is there any other club in the world that deems it necessary to sing a song about their CEO, truly cringworthy.
