  1. Durrr....he's on your side. perhaps its you that has adopted the Italian army method.
  2. But I'm sure you will anyway.
  3. The answer is, any one but...... Apparently there are hundreds out there waiting that have better credentials than Lowe. Weve seen a few of them already in the last couple of years.
  4. Having read most of Wes Tenders posts on this subject I have to agree with you RinNY. He seems to agree that unpopular cut backs have to be made, but somehow, someone like Salz would have adopted it in a different way. His main argument is that we should have kept one of our three strikers that are out on loan instead of bringing in Roberson and Pekart. In hindsight I would agree, but Pekart in particular sounded very promising. Wes has insinuated that the loan signing we have brought in would equal the wages of one of our loaned out strikers. What we don't know is the figures involved on these loan dealings. I would ask Wes if he would have been so critical had Salz been the one that made these decisions ? Would he blame Salz if the 5000 missing fans didn't return overnight ?Would he blame Salz if he appointed someone like Billy Davies, and they then ended up as bad as Burley,Redknapp ? We are going through radical surgery and it wont be until February time at least until we might start to see signs of recovery. Wether its Lowe in Charge or someone else, all we can do is be patient, realistic and supportive. Many on here predicted that we would be in a relegation scrap or worse this season, so as I see it, we are still within a good chance of avoiding relegation and administration. Get ready for this post to be dissected with red ink.
  5. Davis Cork, Perry, Pearce, Skacel James/Thompson, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Surman Euell, Paterson/BWP Hope your wrong Once Bitterne, he is the key to our team. We need as many points on the board as possible before January, presuming we will lose a number of players.
  6. The first bit in bold is what gets me, It seems ok for someone else to come in and say we are in financial poo and make unpopular decisions but when Lowe says it he gets castrated? How would you feel if Salz said he was going to sell 5 of our best players in January? Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing Salz at the helm, but I don't expect things to change for some time yet, in the same way as I don't under Lowe's leadership. Gates will not suddenly go up 5000 overnight, that has little to do with what man is at the healm. Second bit in bold, you don't think Jan could do this ? After all he has to take some credit for the attractive football we play. But as you have pointed out, there are areas that need addressing. We are only a couple of players short of being a very good team, until January that is.
  7. Number 4 will happen before next season. My bet is with a skate that they go into admin by April 09.
  8. As has been said many times, theres more to running a football club than being a good businessman.
  9. I was all for the removal of Lowe last time and I still am now,but surely not at any cost. Look what happened last time. Salz, I don't know anything about him other than whats been posted on here. He may well be a better option, but without a big wad he will be under the same restrictions as present. It could just be a sideways move. As for someone within the board, well thats hardly going to make progress in my view. The one thing we do agree on is that Pearson could have done a better job. As for others, I still would have preferred the likes of Micky Adams, knows the club and would have been cheap. Other than that, a certain Glenn Hoddle would have got these kids in order. But for now, I cant see any light at the end of the tunnel. I am just hoping that we can keep our noses clear of the bottom three and pray that the summer brings us a turn of fortunes.
  10. Thing is Wes, you keep on bleating out the same old ****e( like Stanley) but don't seem to be able to put forward a better candidate. I wish there was one, but the truth is we can't guarantee anything better than what we have got. Unless they have money to put into the club we will struggle just as much as we did with Wilde,Crouch ect. Now instead of wasting your breathe repeating yourself, stick your neck out and nominate a new Chairman, manager and players and give us something to discuss.
  11. That is the problem, but I wonder if Patterson had been given as long a run in the team that DMG has had, wether he could have done better. I would also like to see Jamie White come back from loan and send DMg the other way.
  12. Just hope BWP is high on confidence after his recent goals. Just fear he needs to many chances and isn't composed enough, please prove me wrong tonight Bradley. Personally would rather see Patterson, I think he has the making of a good striker.
  13. Pearson is not the cheap experienced manager that you have suggested. Although I believe he's a good manager, he does not fit your description of what is required. Not cheap, not experienced. So who are these good experienced pro's that would love to sign for us, for next to nothing and willing to play for a salary that we have at the moment ?
  14. The other alternatives are who exactly, give me a list of managers who would work with no money to spend and have to offload a majority of his team? There may well be experienced managers who will come as cheap as chips but there is probably a reason for that. Although I agree, we would be a better team with the right blend of good experienced pro's, they don't come cheap. So maybe you meant not so good experienced pros, in which case I'd stick with what we have thanks. If you believe I have incorrectly rationalised what you were saying, that could be because you have not filled in the blanks. Try backing up your views with an alternative other than an imagination. Post below sums it up perfectly.
  15. I hope it one way.
  16. The same divisions will apply for the Crouch Cruds.
  17. What a load of codswallop. Perhaps we should have got an experienced manager and kept the experienced palyers and to hell with how much it cost eh ? ps. I forgot, we tried that last season didn't we. Great success that was.
  18. Its a **** take at how easily people will believe rumours on a message board. Don't take anything on here to seriously. Everyone has there own opinions on Lowe good or bad, so each side will try and get the upper hand in which ever way they can.
  19. Any club in any league would. Not just our league.
  20. At last Stanley, we agree on something. Looks like we have planned well ahead then. As a lot of clubs are years behind us in producing their own players. Visionary genuis that is Lowe to have been prepared for this.
  21. 1/ 1 win at home all season. 2/ Only 3 remaining players from the previous season. 3/ Team mainly made up of youth team and loans. 4/ Another change of manager. 5/ Fears of administration and relegation. 6/ More players to be sold. 7/ Rupert Lowe and the rest of the boardroom shananigans. All these factors have sent doom and gloom around our fan base. Its just made to many people depressed at the thought of what lies ahead and too many have just thought feck it, I can't be doing with it any more. What percentage have stayed away for what ever reason is anyone's guess. But you can bet your life that if Crouch took over tommorrow we wouldn't suddenly see 5000 fans return. Win the next 2 or 3 games and you might.
  22. Oh..:smt105 He'll make Scotland squad easy then, unless that idiot is still in charge.
  23. Went over my head aswell, not sure what you mean.
  24. I'd rather win this one than the Man Utd game. We need to get that winning feeling at home, and quick. If, as likely, we lose players in January, then we need to get as many points as we can to be clear from the bottom 3 before they are sold, because the last third of the season could be a big struggle.
  25. While they are in the mood for spilling the beans, maybe they could give us more info as to why it all went pear shape.
