I think it is safe to assume that Wotte will not be our manager next season.
-
When he says that 'if we achieve refinancing then my objectives will have been met', it's almost as if administration was his aim all along !
-
I am afraid I will be a non-attendee, do to a combination of geography and family commitments, but I most certainly DO care

Why do so many people say thay have been assured by the FL that a deduction does not apply ? ( Most recently at the administrator's press conference ). The one thing that seems certain to me is that it will end up in the courts; either Luton, Barnsley, Plymouth etc complaining we didn't get a deduction, or Saints ( assuming we are still viable in some way, shape, or form ) complaining that the FL reneged on an assurance. As usual the only people gaining will be lawyers.
-
Is it not that before the cutoff date the deduction is always applied immediately, and after it they hold off to see where you finish before deciding when it will apply ?
-
If the alternative was to wash the melted mush down the drain, I'd take his offer. Rupe's would hold out for the full amount and find himself knee deep in a raspberry ripple lake without a penny to buy a mop.
-
Or not willing to place the same inflated value on the club as Rupert ?
-
And.......where did they go ? ( PS, refer back to Ginge's post on the previous page )
-
That is inevitable due to to human nature. The current response is purely emotional. The only income any football club can count on is ST sales, everything else is down to individual circumstance; mood, weather, family, finance, work, the reputation and nature of the opposition, the competition being played, etc, etc, etc.
-
What NC conveniently forgets is that the crowds were not just down due to Rupes, the 'product' on offer has tended to be very lean fare, and the customers voted with their feet when they judged they were not being given 'value for money'. Crowds of 28K would not have got us any more points, our league position is down to Portaloo, and that as much as anything else has impacted the club's finances and chances of garnering investment.
-
And if we had consistently acheived 28K crowds, would Rupes have understood that this was a show of resistance against him ? LOL The Board knew that having Lowelife back on the scene would antagonise a large part of their customer base, that was a gamble that has now come to it's inevitable, unfortunate, conclusion. The ONLY reason Rupes came back was in desperation to try to maintain some value in his shares, and the reason potential alternative investors were scared away was because of his inflated ego and asking price.
-
Well, we have certainly hit an iceberg; Captain Lowe standing on the bridge ordering 'full steam ahead', lookout Wilde in the crow's nest having forgotten his binoculars, and Marconi man Jones ignoring the warnings of 'bergs ahead

The shame is all yours if that is truly how you feel. Not so much Dicko as Dickhead.

If what you want is an inspiring person who commited themselves to raising awareness for cancer charities, why not put up a statue to Jane Tomlinson ? Far more worthy, IMO. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/2585103.stm http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/after-raising-pound175m-jane-tomlinson-dies-of-cancer-aged-43-401410.html etc

What will it say on the plaque ? "Jade Goody - ignorant, gobs1te, role model for chavs everywhere"
-
So the current SLH / PLC arrangement was not created to make the reverse takeover possible ? Instead, Rupert was putting in place an administrative coup de main that ensured when he came back for his second tenure, ( 'the lunatic taking over the asylum ?' ), and we crashed and burned, we could wriggle out of League rules that at that point did not even exist. Now that IS visionary !

Well, being a Greek / Danish / German hybrid, the English language is obviously a problem for him

WinXP has a default system administration account called, funnily enough, 'Administrator', and the password is also 'Administrator'. However, if you create your own user account with admin privilege, which most home PCs ask you to do at first switch-on, the built-in system one is no longer available from the normal login screen. To access this account press F8 as Windows is loading and select 'Safe Mode'. Then when the login box is displayed, you can enter the default administrator credentials. From there you should be able to open Control Panel and edit any account you have forgotten the p/w for.

In the small talk when they first met, the Queen and the Prince were sympathising with the President and his wife about their gruelling schedule since arriving late on Tuesday evening. "The time lag," said the Queen, ever the diplomat. "You're just trying to stay awake!" said Philip, ever the foot-in-mouth blunderer. Then the President told the Royals: "I had breakfast with the Prime Minister, I had meetings with the Chinese, the Russians, David Cameron... "And I'm proud to say I did not nod off in one of the meetings." A guffawing Prince Philip then blurted out: "Can you tell the difference between them?" "

This all smacks of Blackadder - "I have a cunning plan".

Never suffered from molluscs attacking my grapes or toms, though they do sometimes have a go at the strawbs. My advice is to use sharp sand or straw around the plants, particularly strawbs when the start fruiting, and to encourage as many birds ( feathered ! ) into the garden as possible. You could also try guiness traps, or plant a Hosta - they are slug magnets and will keep them off everything else, little b4stards.
