  1. The ECHR in itself does not prevent any signatory imposing immigration or refugee limits. It does not grant an automatic right of entry to a country of which an individual is not a national. What it does do is keep Human Rights lawyers in business.
  2. Even white South Africans don't think they are being persecuted.
  3. You will always be my favourite.
  4. See Nic, that emoji might be judged appropriate, but I doubt that you meant it in that way.
  5. The Senate grows some balls as a bipartisan vote is passed to challenge the tariffs on Canada, following a similar vote over tariffs on Brazil.
  6. Are you also actually a barber?
  7. How many IIs do you think there are on here?
  8. If 'efficiency' in Local Government is purely a matter of cutting budgets, why is it still being mentioned after the slash and burn economics of the Tory's austerity programs ? Surely a 40% cut in budgets must have vastly improved LG performance?
  9. For some it appears it is.
  10. By all means make your point, but don't distort facts to sensationalise. The Southport attacker was born in this country, 4 years after his family legitimately moved here from Rwanda.
  11. Archer has scored 7 in his last 74 games, ( Saints and Sheff Utd ). We signed Che on the back of a 22 goal season for Brum.
  12. It was on SKY News. As for the rest of this inane drivel, I'm not defending anybody, merely indicating that the prison officers are more culpable than he is for his "escape".
  13. He didn't "run" from jail. Reports said that having been put outside the prison he went back 5 times to check what was happening, and was repeatedly directed to the train station and told to go to London.
  14. Msny other countries have their own Human Rights legislation, including such as Australia, Canada, etc. In principle their legislation provides the same rights and protections as the ECHR and has been developed over decades. The point about the ECHR that you and many others prefer to obfuscate is that it is not a simple matter of giving 6 months notice and revoking it. A lot of replacement legislation would be needed to backfill domestic Law. This is what Farage and Badenoch are being disingenuous about.
  15. We've been down that road already, many times.
  16. Of course it's not impossible, Russia and Belarus manage without it.
  17. Stop bringing facts into this. It's as if politicians are making vacuous promises they know they cannot keep.
  18. So I was right, it is an easy throw away comment, but difficult to actually carry out.
  19. But it is an easy throw away comment for people like Farage and BadEnoch to spout to the easily misled.
  20. There's a challenge; name all 22.
  21. We cannot simply nullify the ECHR because it underpins a lot of domestic Law.
  22. True. But Kruger has said that part of his grand plan to reorganise Government is to shut down 6 agencies........... which the Cabinet Office has already slated to be shut down.
  23. London
  24. Donnie boasted to the press on Air Force One that he had 'aced' his second annual health check since January, and had got a top score in an IQ test, suggesting that "low IQ" Democratrs Alexandria Ocasio-Cortes and Jasmine Crockett should take the test for comparison, as they might be able to get to question 5 but wouldn't be able to answer the later, harder, questions.. The test wasn't an IQ test, it was a cognitive function test used to detect signs of dementia.
