  1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64383217 "Uefa is to change its Financial Fair Play rules in response to Chelsea's recent trend of signing players on long-term contracts"
  2. If City take him he'll probably return in a couple years, given our recent recruitment record.
  3. If Che could actually convert the chances he gets we wouldn't be in the bottom 6/7, let alone the contribution of AA, another "star" that underwhelms. ( I will reserve judgement on Mara until he has actually started a few more games ). Without JWP's goals we are toothless.
  4. Last season, 38 players, including JWP, scored more PL goals than our #1 striker. At this point in the current season 26 players, again including JWP, have scored more. They are out there, even if many of them are playing in midfield. All we need is a player to score as many as Che, but who then additionally converts a quarter of the chances he fluffs.
  5. Nor should finding one be difficult.
  6. Yes, and someone born without a prostate doesn't need to get that checked either.

  8. Would it not be easier to say "If you were born with a cervix.....".
  9. Sometimes sports commentators come out with classics; Just watching a cycle race from Argentina and the commentator said "It is a long, straight, sinuous road".
  10. At 10 past 6 we were "in advanced talks" with Nicolas Jackson, by quarter past 7 it was "not particularly close". Who do we believe, SkySports_Sheth or Alex Crook ?
  11. If they "really want to make this successful", where is the new striker ?
  12. Earlier in the month NJ said that Stuart Armstrong had been "playing through pain", but didn't elaborate.
  13. We bought Che Adams from Birmingham after they had finished 17th, and Adam Armstrong from Blackburn after they had finished 16th. They might be capable of scoring at that level, but would our defence be capable of restricting the opposition ?
  14. On an early version of Championship Manager it was possible to play 6-3-1, which proved surprisingly successful.
  15. harness
  16. Surely number 11 ?
  17. How on Earth was Johnson in such a financial pickle in 2020 that he needed an £800K loan ?
  18. One of the major arguments against re-joining, and one I have quoted, is the obligation for accession members of the EU to adopt the Euro. Interestingly, Hungary, Poland,Romania, Sweden, and the Czech Republic have no plans so to do, and Sweden joined in 1995. So perhaps that one can be put out in the long grass.
  19. Apparently, you can blaim the Echo: https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/heritage/8797767.the-origin-of-the-names-soton-and-sotonian-for-southampton-and-southamptonian/ The school yearbook at King Edward's is called Sotoniensis.
  20. And our players do exactly the same.
  21. This would be the 3rd time I have seen Saints drop out of the top flight, so nothing new.
  22. Race
  23. "Some mistakes have to be paid for over many years"; And you can gaurantee that those paying and suffering as a consequence will not include BoJo, Moggy, or Nigel Mirage.
  24. If he isn't sacked now they will get what they deserve.
