Why do you persist with being such a complete t1t ? That link says that COVID-19 is more of a problem than seasonal flu due to so much of it's epidemiology being unknown, that there is no communal immunity, unlike flu, there is no current or pending vaccine, unlike flu, and the death rate from COViD is far higher.

Tell Boris and your hero Donald. Can you find a recent, ( within the last month ), article by any immunologist or microbiologist, anywhere in the World, that agrees with your position ?

And your point is.....? The process for manufacturing and distributing flu vaccines is well established, and there is also evidence that you develope at least a partial immunity to all influenzas in a particular group if your first exposure to a flu virus is a strain within that group. There is currently no inherent immunity to COVID-19, nor any chance of a vaccine within a year.

  9. With the World in corona-lockdown the levels of atmospheric pollution being pumped out by road, rail, and air should decrease significantly.

As long as it hasn't come from the same stable as Universal Credit, or the new Electoral Registration system, then it will probably be OK. ( Based on years of experience of trying to interface local IT systems with central government's ).

Mortgages and rents - how much can be covered, if any, by the benefits system, especially if large numbers try to claim ?
  15. What happens after the 4 months ? Assuming the over 70s are then let out, the virus will still be around and a vaccine won't yet be available. Whilst those outside this age group may be well on the way to 'herd immunity' and reducing the chances of infection, a significant proportion of the previously quarantined will still be at serious risk. Presumably the delay will serve to increase the numbers of available ventilators and clear some of the less critical hospital bed space in preparation.
  16. But you have to maintain a 'safe distance' !
  17. 1) If a significant proportion of the population are switching to online shopping, the systems that the supermarket chains operate will be swamped, assuming that there are enough delivery drivers. What happens when the earliest delivery time you can book is 4 weeks away ?

Well, if the supermarkets are correct in that there are no issues in the supply chain, then next week there should be no problems, as the stockpilers won't need to go again for quite a while.

Unfortunately we won't know who's advice and approach is most effective for over a year, and only after potentially tens of thousands of deaths.

Also to create, test, and produce a vaccine. Presumably the Chinese, Italian, and all other foreign Governments are listening to their experts, and basing their action plans on the advice they receive.
