https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/dec/17/johnson-bans-ministers-from-davos-in-nod-to-working-class-voters "Johnson also asked his colleagues “how many new hospitals are we going to build?” with the cabinet answering back in unison “40”. He then asked: “How many more nurses are we going to hire?” They chanted back: “50,000.”" Oh no you're not ! ( Well, it is panto season ). As for forming a 'People's Government', how very Communist Central Committee. Jeremy Corbyn must be spitting feathers as his mantra gets hijacked.

No you wouldn't, but it would make misery easier to bear.

Boris continuing to 'play a blinder'; "THE pound has plummeted against the euro and US dollar with Boris Johnson set to throw down the gauntlet to the EU." https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/1218217/pound-to-euro-exchange-rate-GBP-sterling-US-dollar-Brexit-no-deal-boris-johnson I wonder if anyone will reply claiming that I don't really understand that this is all just posturing, and that both the EU and the UK will now work all the harder to ensure that no-deal does not, in fact, happen.

Trump has always insisted that he wants to reverse the current trade deficit that the US has with the UK.

Over 3 million fewer people voted Tory in the GE than voted for Brexit in the referendum.

WTO may be fine by you, but it is almost certainly not ideal for the rest of the country.

Was Ings's goal disallowed because he was outside the penalty area when he scored ?

Swap him for a traffic cone, it would still be an improvement.

Most would imply a majority, so not the vote of any of the parties in the GE.
-
30% of the electorate, not of votes cast. And 3 million fewer votes for the Conservatives than voted for Brexit in the referendum.

A trade deal strictly on the USA's terms.
-
The Will of the People ? 30% of the electorate voted for Boris.

Senior MPs who lose their seats do not end up unemployed, and quite often end up earning far more than they did at Westminster.

Bugger social media, why is it that throughout the campaign the only people who knocked on our door to canvass opinion were the Jehovah's Witnesses ?
-
Yet Farage said that if the referendum had gone 52/48 for remain, that would not have been the end of it.
-
Ah, "the will of the people". A phrase widely used by Josef Goebbels.
-
So, if remain had won the referendum, would you have meekly kept shtum and accepted that "for you the war is over" ? We now wait with baited breath to see what form Brexit will take, and I guarantee that it won't satisfy all of the leavers.

It's so ingrained into their DNA that they can't stop themselves. So many Labour turkeys voting for a Brexit Christmas. I wonder what else in the Tory manifesto persuaded them to go blue.

Not sure where the 80% comes from, and the 68% was a vote for FPTP against a non-proportional voting system that neither Labour or Conservative supported.
