  1. Wes, when replying to a post it normally makes sense to consider any previous post that it may be responding to, or quoting. You could have saved yourself several minutes of typing, ( and thinking ), for post #2322 if you had done so.
  2. John B, re posts #2319 & #2320....
  3. Only 26% of the population voted for brexit
  4. Are Alpine & Dalek a Chuckle Brothers tribute act ?
  5. I don't think there was a vote when Heath signed us up, Labour got elected with a promise to hold the referendum on his decision.
  6. Sorry Alps, you didn't get the result you wanted. However, for everybody else, WOOOOOT ! GET IN !
  7. Who's a happy camper ?
  8. "The result was 67.2% in favour, with a turnout of 64.0%." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_European_Communities_membership_referendum,_1975
  9. Regarding their goal, the best place to put a shot when reasonably close to the keeper is straight between their legs. They tend to have their legs slightly spread to be able to shift their weight to either side, and it's difficult for them to quickly move their feet back in to block the ball.
  10. Are these the 'future generations' who, as an age demographic, voted to stay in the EU ?
  11. As Mandy Rice-Davies once asserted about another Tory Cabinet member, and 'in-law' of David Cameron - "Well he would wouldn't he".
  12. What happens when TOYOTA and HONDA ask for the same deal ? Or other multi-nationals in other industries ? Or perhaps domestic British companies that export to the EU willl claim that this sort of help needs to be across the board.
  13. Not bad for a first goal.
  14. True, and we also export to more markets than the EU. That doesn't automatically mean Brexit makes everything better. Enough for one estimate to be that the exchequer will lose £65bn annually. Answer the question.

  16. How much of our economy is in exporting UK manufactured goods, especially those without imported components or materials ? What other areas of the economy will weaken along with the £ ? How will we recover up to £65Bn in lost revenues when the banks relocate ? Which British made cars are potentially 'more attractive' than BMWs, AUDIs, or Mercs ?

  18. And, perhaps, it 'can't be helped' if banks relocate currency exchange operations to European HQs. ( LOL )

  20. Similarly, if you only promote the 'positives' and brush the 'negatives' under the carpet.
