Did we sell Pelle, or did he tell the club he wouldn't play for them any more ? -
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-senior-conservative-mps-seize-on-a-forgotten-government-pledge-to-let-parliament-decide-the-a7366316.html "....in October 2010, David Cameron’s Government stated exactly the opposite in a little-noticed response to an inquiry by a House of Lords committee. That inquiry concluded that 'because of the sovereignty of Parliament, referendums cannot be legally binding in the UK, and are therefore advisory'”. "“Under the UK’s constitutional arrangements, Parliament must be responsible for deciding whether or not to take action in response to a referendum result.”"

I'm beginning to feel drawn to the 'dark side'. My opinion of the team and manager after Palarse and this evening is starting to develop themes such as "too slow", "toothless", "lacking in ideas", "redmond is not a team player", "where is the 2nd striker ?", "tactically predictable", "uninspiring". Our passing seems to be getting worse, our decision making in clearing out of defence is poor, our goal threat from corners and attacking free kicks is practically non existent. I think I'll take a break from watching Saints for a while, probably until Sunday. -

What odds on it staying 0-0, because I can't see Saints scoring. -
From the BBC ; " Yes - the numbers tonight suggest not very many MPs will actually try to block Brexit, or frustrate the process. They will certainly try to push the government for more details. They will certainly try to amend the proposals that eventually make it to the Commons, whenever that is. That could disrupt and delay things, but trying to stop it happening is not on the agenda of the vast majority. But what's equally clear is that Theresa may does not have a secure majority on the EU. As soon as her plans (eventually) hit the floor of the House, she's likely to have to compromise. That is precisely why the government is fighting so hard just across the road in the Supreme Court to try to avoid MPs having a say before the really hard work in Brussels even begins."

And on the Andrew Marr show she got Farage to concede that the referendum was only advisory.
-
Don't spoil it for those that want to speculate/grumble/panic unnecessarily.
-
But he also said he wouldn't resign if the referendum went against him.

FA Cup 3rd Round Draw - Norwich away. Yawn.

I'm not sure that it's a 'policy' as much as the law of the economic jungle. We have to operate within certain constraints, other clubs have more money, players ( and agents ) are self interested. How do you think the club could change things ? ( Other than the easy cop out of expecting the owner to put in more of her own money ).

Problem is, I'm not on FB.

All that shows is that we huffed and puffed, went sideways and backwards, ran down blind alleys in wide positions, and blasted inaccurately from too far out. Check out the stats from the Arse game, they had far more posession, shots, etc. There are only 2 statistics that count this evening, 0 goals scored and 0 points accrued.
-
If we were 4 points clear at the top of the table you would still trot out the same tired b0ll0x.
-
For all our attacking free kicks and corners, not a single effort on goal resulted. Our crossing is generally poor, and if we do manage to get in a good one there isn't anybody in the box to get on the end of it. Let's hope the team discover some pride and passion before Thursday's kick off.
