The BBC have reported that the DCLG have issued a statement saying that if the cladding had a plastic core then it WOULD NOT meet Building Regs.

The building had a history of electrical issues, including power surges that caused domestic appliances to fail.

Presumably the same holds true for the Tories.

If Labour were in Government and running the local council, the Tories would be trying to score exactly the same points.

But you can swing that argument for any of the member countries, unless you are saying that the other 27 have always voted en bloc against the UK. As for last week's election, the majority of MPs were not voted for by me, and therefore probably don't have my best interests at heart.
