  1. You're not a Tory MP or a Judge are you ?
  2. How much have the bookies pocketed from failed bets with none of the 'big 4' winning ?
  3. I think England have a maimum of 7 european places, normally that would be 4 ECL ( top 4 in the Prem ) and 3 EL ( 1 for 5th and 1 each for the cups ). However, if Liverpool win the EL and do not qualify for the ECL by league position, we switch to 5 EL ( 4 league + Liverpool ), and 2 EL ( FA Cup and 5th in Prem, the League Cup place is forfeited - but the FA Cup place swaps to 6th in the Prem if Man U win ).
  4. I think the FA Cup final is key - as long as Utd win it won't matter if City or Utd finish 5th in the Prem, either will have qualified for the Europa by way of a cup win, and the second EL qualification place, released by the 4th placed team gaining an ECL slot, slips to the 6th placed team. This, I think, caters for consequences of Liverpool winning the Europa League, and thereby going into the ECL - leaving England with 5 ECL and 2 EL qualifiers. IMO, the midweek games need to produce a Man Utd win and a Liverpool draw ( or defeat ). In that situation, provided we beat Palace, I reckon the Premier League table & consequent European places would be; 1) Leics - ECL group stage 2) Spuds - ECL group stage 3) Arse - ECL group stage 4) Man ( Utd or City ) - ECL playoff round 5) Man ( Utd or City ) - EL playoff round 6) Saints - EL 3rd qualifying round 7th or 8th ) L'pool - ECL playoff round 7th or 8th ) WHU - nowhere
  5. In which case I shall ask that 'generally' be inserted into my post.
  6. Pelle has been too slow to work out what to do when he gets the ball.
  7. Can we have a drinks break every game ?
  8. Landed awkwardly after making a foul challenge. Diddums.
  9. Consistency has been a problem all season.
  10. It's White Hart Lane.
  11. Tadic a tad greedy there.
  12. It strikes me that in this referendum we are being asked to choose between bull-sh!t and b0ll0cks.

  14. Be careful not to pinch them as you put the tyre back on the wheel. Personally I use Conti Race tubes on all 3 road bikes, ( Winter, workhorse, and "sunday best" ), but then again I've never put too much thought into differentiating between brands.
  15. Not sure about yesterday, but I'm sure she was pictured in the stadium for the previous home game.
  16. How many people were suggesting that we sign Mane before we actually did ? Was he ever mentioned on the HCDAJFU thread ? We generally get potential replacements lined up 'just in case', so I suspect that base is covered, and we will 'march on'.
  17. Hopefully it's just match sharpness, and a full pre-season will sort it out.
  18. 'tater on my stream just said that the last match he covered at St Mary's was Villa last season - every time he watches Mane gets a hat-trick.
  19. How many centre backs would try that ?
  20. Started with the video for Mother's Talk by Tears for Fears, and found this in the linked videos listed by Youtube : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7_Te7iDojA
  21. Because the Chief Constable removed his experienced local commanding officer and put Duckenfield, who had no local knowledge and had never managed a football match at Hillsborough, in charge. "Duckenfield admitted he had not familiarised himself in any detail with the ground’s layout or capacities of its different sections. He did not know the seven turnstiles, through which 10,100 Liverpool supporters with standing tickets had to be funnelled to gain access to the Leppings Lane terrace, opened opposite a large tunnel leading straight to the central pens, three and four. He did not even know that the police were responsible for monitoring overcrowding, nor that the police had a tactic, named after a superintendent, John Freeman, of closing the tunnel when the central pens were full, and directing supporters to the sides. He admitted his focus before the match had been on dealing with misbehaviour, and he had not considered the need to protect people from overcrowding or crushing." http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/apr/26/hillsborough-disaster-deadly-mistakes-and-lies-that-lasted-decades
