I saw a US news interview with a high-up from the Department of Commerce, and he went through the mental gymnastics of explaining this; The price has been reduced to a point where it would have to be INCREASED by 600% to get back to where it had been before the price cut. Although, in reality what is happening is that the 9 largest drug manufacturers in the US have agreed to reduce the prices they charge, mostly to MedicAid, by up to 70%, thereby matching the prices they charge international customers - and to avoid proposed punitive tariffs being charged against them. Would it not have been easier for people to understand if they had simply announced that prices were being reduced by 2/3rds. You have to credit the Trump administration with curtailing what appears to have been a massive rip-off perpetrated against the US healthcare industry.
