  5. Now we know what triggered it all.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/8631775.stm It's all down to dirty women !
  6. A four engined airliner just flew over our house heading south - a bit lower than they usually do. ( But obviously NOT at rooftop height )
  7. Had my MP3 on shuffle at the gym a n hour ago and it came up with a hidden gem - "Good Morning Britain" by Aztec Camera with Mick Jones.
  8. On the basis of the SofA !
  9. Sheridan
  10. Not with a Lib/Lab coalition they wouldn't be.
  11. No, you rank the candidates in order of preference. Example on WiKi http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_transferable_vote#Voting
  12. Am I correct in thinking that agents are classed as football creditors, so with the outstanding transfers thats at least £23M that has to be paid in full before they can play in the CCC. CHEATS !!!
  13. This is a local country, for local people !
  14. Coulda, woulda, shoulda..... The current system put a 66 seat overall majority in Labour's hands, on the back of 22% of the electorate voting for them. Change is necessary, overdue, and the people seem to want it. The way you want things, we'd still be stuck with the 2 party system delivering a choice between the Torys and the Whigs.
  15. And every day it becomes clearer that this is probably the result most of the electorate support.

  20. Careful now, you may provoke a few comparisons between pots & kettles.
  21. From the BBC summary of LD economic policy ;"identify and cut £15bn per year of lower priority spending to protect front-line services while reducing structural deficit at least as fast as Labour plans, beginning in 2011". Compare this with the Tories "Aim to eliminate "the bulk" of the UK's structural deficit within five years beginning in 2010 with £6bn in cuts", and Labour "cutting the deficit by more than 50% by 2014 and reducing the structural deficit by at least two-thirds over the next parliament".
  22. Whilst the Tories will "cut civil service costs by a third over five years" by "not filling vacancies as they arise".
  23. Given that the vast majority of the CONservative posters I've seen have Gordy's face on them, I'm sure you could think of some creative additions
  24. 'fraid not. Some very slight para-phrasing and truncation, but that is indeed what he said. Beeb has a snippet ; http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/election_2010/8629044.stm
