Kee jerk, stop gap solution that merely delays the inevitable ; ( if things really are that bad ). I accept the whole cloth-cutting thing, slashing the wage bill to reduce overheads, etc. But surely the first team salary total now, as compared to 2 years ago, must be significantly less, and yet we are told we are still leaking like a colander. ( I know that Rasiak, Saga, and SJ are still technically our players, but surely we are not paying for them whilst they are on loan ? ) Given the law of diminshing returns; younger players, poorer prospects on the pitch, hence lower gates ( including the anti-Lowe factor ), - therefore having to sell off the family pewter, ( the silver has already gone ), leading to a weaker team, lesser capability in the squad, even lower gates, etc, etc, etc, is there actually a level at which this club is financially viable and capable of being self sustaining ?

Rudolph the Brown Nose Reindeer Bottom of his reindeer class Wanted to be sleigh leader So he started kissing Santa's ass All of the other reindeer Really learned to hate his gut Every time they saw Santa Rudolph's nose was up his butt Then one foggy Christmas Eve Blitzen had had enough Took Rudolph out behind the shed And got the elves to beat him up Oh, how the reindeer loved it As Rudolph screamed out in pain Rudolph the brown-nose reindeer He'll never kiss a butt again.

Watched a Merc CLS with a personalised plate get impounded on the road outside my office yesterday for having no insurance. You would have thought if he could afford that car and the plate he could cough up the extras to keep it legal.

The longer she is around the better; hopefully that ***t Charley will never get to the throne. Once she's gone, bring on the republic.

Once they have rolled over in the replay, and we move on to the next round to draw the Arse, the money will be rolling in

Doesn't fit their "I'm a better fan than you" line of argument Just to show I am consistent, I will not be attending this game. I shall in all likelihood be sat at home, in front of a real fire, watching us lose yet again on TV; screaming abuse at every decision the blatantly biased ref gives in favour of Trafford United, ( as my true blue wife constantly says, there is only one team that plays in Manchester ); heading every clearance, blasting every shot, committing to every tackle, making every dive with KD. I only hope we put in a better performance than our last televised FA Cup match. On the other hand, we do have some 'history'; 6-3, the 'wrong colour shirts' match, the spirit of '76, MLT vs Taibi , revenge for the last game of our last ( 'so far' ) Premiership season. COYR, Pride of the south !

John McGrath & Chris Nicholl, a midge's ahead of Mark Wright & Big Dave Watson -
Did you see the one in the Arse game the other night, rolling around in 'agony' only to jump up and sprint back as the counter attack raced past him. I don't think it should be accepted as part of the game, nor do I believe that refs even try to stamp it out, it has become a tolerated part of the money making machine that is modern football - over paid prima-donnas acting like spoilt brats, knowing that their managers will never even try to get them to stop, ( it's not as if Arsene Whinger ever actually sees it happening ).

Firstly, to repeat yet again the old adage ; "Every player has his price". Second, the improved form would have to lead to a dramatic increase in gate receipts to start eating into the balance of payments deficit; and with Rupes and Wildey in the boardroom, a significant numbers of the absent faithful will remain so.

How many more times am I going to read that in a match summary this season ?

Never heard of Wayne Dennis !

Too many under-30's voting for the only one they can remember ! Maybe we over-30's need to get our dads on here to balance things up.

The youth approach will NEVER deliver stability.

Which is why running a football club as a PLC is devisive; it's first priority will always be to the shareholders. The one thing that is clear in the financial report is that teflon Rupert is plainly excluding himself from any blame whatsoever. It's reminiscent of the scene in the Blues Brothers where John Belushi is on his knees in front of Carrie Fisher, explaining why he stood her up - "A friend came in from out of town; my tux didn't come back from the cleaners; there was an earthquake, a terrible flood....IT'S NOT MY FAULT !" -
How many of these loans terminate in January, and are any of them worth extending ?

This was how I passed yesterday afternoon, so as not to 'jinx' the match - obviously worked

The wife's team are Man City, so I'm sure we will

At last a match where we turned our dominance into a result ; just looked at the BBC match stats, 57% posession, 9 to 3 shots on target, 10 to 4 shots off target. If only, for once, we can make it two good games in a row on Tuesday. COYR
