  1. I would wait to see the list of 'promises to be broken' in the manifestos, listen to what the parties had to say, and cast my vote according to my conscience. There was a bit on Mark Thomas's 'Peoples Manifesto' on R4 that suggested that when a Government had reached 50 broken manifesto pledges then a new election was automatically triggered.

  4. Why not go one step further and include long range reconnaissance, and then get the winning bidder to keep the Nimrods flying, thus also preserving private sector jobs in BAe.
  5. This is, of course, nothing to do with your postings on the 'Shares' thread, where you are salivating over the opportunities that might arise in the event of an Ivorean civil war ?
  6. So in the 1945 General Election, all those that voted for the landslide Labour victory didn't 'care for Britain' ? What exactly had they been doing for the previous 6 years ?
  7. FYI, fruegal is a tautological reference to a female; 'frue' being old saxon for a wife or lady ( think of the more modern 'frau' ). Just thought you ought to know.
  8. Better to stay off Internet forums and be thought a complete prat, than to post this sort of drivel and remove the last vestige of doubt.
  9. What happened to UKIP ?
  10. I am going to send my wife to Switzerland, and then claim all my tax liabilities fall to her.

  12. Posted on wrong thread - Should have been on the 'What are you listening to' thread but suffered a 'human interface failure'.

  14. 2 more in the second half would do very nicely ! Forget worrying about Huddersfield - if things finish as they currently stand we will be a point ahead with a far superior GD and a game in hand.

  19. It may not have been 'pool's starting line up, but 9 of their opening 11 have started Prem matches this season, only Rachubka & Tomsett have not. Given we played an 'unfamiliar' back 5 this was an excellent result. I loved the bit on R5Live when Murty got the commentator to admit that Saints' players looked a class above League1.
  20. Which is exactly what this b0ll0xed up half-witted exercise was doing.
  21. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12132341 Conservative MP Bernard Jenkin, chair of the committee, said: "The whole process was rushed and poorly handled and should have been thought through a lot more". Too much dogma to satisfy the Daily Heil, too little thought and application.

  23. It should be an open game; assuming Ollie sticks with 4-3-3 there will be headaches for our back four and opportunities for our attackers. Kingson can be quite static in goal, and as long as we can find a way of controlling Charlie Adam, if he plays, I think we have a very good chance.
