Nope, he talked about bringing players to the club as well as starting negotiations with players like Jack Cork.

'There is no need to sell players that Mauricio wants to keep' I hate inconsistencies like this.

Saints 1 Manchester Utd 1 - Post Match Reaction
DuncanRG replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
My gut feeling is that Lallana, provided we keep the manager and bring some players in, will stay for another year and solidify his place in the England team and then be off. At 26 he's got to get into the Champions League within the two or three years if he ever will, but at present there's a risk he won't play enough at a top club to hold his international place. Another season like this and he can play regularly for a top club and his country. I don't think anyone would begrudge him that. Nor should they begrudge him a move now really, should the club allow him to leave. His behaviour today doesn't tell us anything really. -

We were at them to start with, after we scored they were at us, after about 70 minutes nobody was bothered. Didn't go out with a bang but still a great day and a nice way to end the season. On we go! -
‘In order to try to reach their level we need to have a major international budget resourcing and try to match them on their own terms.’ God, that's a strong quote. A worrying one as well. Competing on City and Chelsea's terms just ain't gonna happen, sadly.

He's had chances in most of his games and scored two goals. Take one or two of those chances better and we'd all be drooling. His movement is very good and he gets himself into good positions
-
He hasn't threatened to go - not publicly and it hasn't been alleged in any reports either. The only other time he even sort of threatened was through an answer to a hypothetical about Cortese leaving, something he said half a year before there was any perceived threat. And he didn't go then.
-
We have no idea. But Gallagher isn't like Lallana or Shaw - he doesn't have a long list of potential suitors who'd snap him up if he wanted to leave saints.
-
You need to take a long, hard look at yourself.
-
His actual, verbal language tells us that he is undecided. We know that.
-
His point was that core of players is still there in the top flight.

Tell Spurs and United fans that the gap isn't that big!

Diego Alves would be a very good signing, as would Victor Ruiz, who we've been linked with in the past. No idea how willing Valencia would be to let them go, though - and it would probably be us adding cash to the deal in Ruiz's case.

What an achievement. Under 18s to Premier League starter in one season is remarkable even by our standards. Excited to see more of this lad in the future. So, who thinks we can expect a series of contract agreements like we had midway through last season? Hesketh and Gallagher are the first...

Never have I seen a better first reply to a thread

I think Pochettino knows that there might be a better, more secure job waiting for him if he continues to succeed with us for another season or more. Spurs, as it's been acknowledged, is a risk and some of the top, top clubs might be thinking about him if he improves on this season. We've seen him linked with Real and PSG already - very premature at the moment but he might see the merit in biding his time before leaving.

It's been absolutely incredible. I can't believe how lucky we are after the position we were in a few years ago. Highlights for me are Brighton, Lambert's England debut and the Etihad on the first day of last season. I also have a special place for Villa Park last year. That was the moment I knew we were staying up. Gallagher's first goal was a wonderful moment as well. It's a shame our current band of academy boys don't score many because it really is a special feeling when they do.

Good to hear from him but not the best interview. He's got far more interesting things to say
-
Who stole the I in Saints?
-
Ha, very good Best of luck to Danny. Not the best of players at Premier League level but he's a bright guy and I always enjoyed his interviews.
-
Do we have any idea how much they're paying us? You've got to be really sad to get angry about a shirt sponsor without knowing the only important bit of information. We could have massive brands like Apple or Coca-Cola as our sponsors, but if they paid us £700k it would be a bad deal. For all we know Veho are giving us £50bn! Anyway, the logo looks quite nice and they seem like a good fit. Might be some interesting media collaboration going on with their products in addition to the Saints range they mentioned in the press release.

A 'human feel?' God, I thought the interpreter was there to aid his expression.
-
I'd be devastated if he went to the World Cup as anything other than a Saint. I mean, it'd be hard enough losing him at all but that would be a real kick in the teeth. Unlikely to happen though. Same story was leaked about Shaw a few weeks ago.
-
You think Cortese wanted to spend more carefully?
-
We're in much better shape than Newcastle, that's for sure. Look at Cabaye as an example for them, though. He was clearly too good to stay with them forever and he did leave eventually, but not at the first opportunity. Though I suppose he tried his best...
