  1. I am not aquainted with the full details of the dispute but my gut reaction was indeed why shoot yourself in the foot but if you bring it down to a personal level then I feel for FF. I also particularly disapprove of the way in which their PR machine has dealt with individuals in a ruthless way.
  2. I am not a Tory boy I am a free market libertarian who sometimes puts his cross next to the Conservative box. Well most of the time. Probably better off arguing the boy bit now I come to think of it.
  3. Remember that a guy has lost his living here. Whatever the ins and out they fought pretty dirty and left FF on the scrap heap. I can only wish him well in finding new work.
  4. No offence BTF but it will be refreshing to get away from the nanny state mentality of the left! Live your life! be free, smoke, drink, eat what you like its your choice......
  5. He speaks sense in the Sunday Times as well
  6. Do not forget that he told everyone he was going to do it so the price went down!
  7. You clearly are reliant on the State to live your life.
  8. Well I am not in a position to know but the fact you live up North points to some form of under achievement!
  9. Classic chippy attitude that holds so many people back in life.
  10. Duncan you are one of us and what ever your view on this they fought a dirty game. Good luck with everything from me - hope you win through!
  11. easy way of getting publicity
  12. What rubbis. I doubt you remember 'when we never had it so good' or when people bought there own council houses. Every Labour Government ends up screwing our economy and leaving us bankrupt.
  13. I am sorry but that is absurd. It is up to the individual not the State.
  14. Yes because there is a magic fairy who is going to off all of our debts. Borrowing this year will be the highest as a percentage of GDP in Europe.
  15. Better than the overpaid, politically correct, interfering stasis that run our lifes now. These people do it for out of duty.
  16. and Brown's alternative......the State. Interfering, self righteous, paranoid, controlling, stasi like, politically correct, unfair, idle, ineffective, bloated, wasteful, unmotivated and bloody expensive. Lets look for an alternative.
  17. I am afraid that is right. We are best to stick with 32,000.
  18. I hate career politicians. Make a fortune and then go and pay back your country in duty.
  19. Agreed. The price we paid to get into the EU was our fishing fleet - the biggest in the world at the time. We handed over our waters and they have now over fished it and left communities all around the country without any work. Do not ever think they give a stuff about us.
  20. I do worry for you Solentstars, who said anything about leaving our biggest market? Do you really think that they will want to turn their back on us? We will still trade with them but would have the flexibility to make ourselves more competitive. Being competitive is not about lowering wages it is about the ludicrous level of red tape that comes out of the whole bloated system. The EU is a good idea very badly executed.
  21. and they wouldn't want access to our markets. Do you really think that we would stop trading with the EU if we left Euriope. We could make ourselves ultra competitive by doing so.
  22. That amused me - Gary Barlow I think
  23. Its flawed but you do need a government that can act. PR Would give us an election every year.
  24. Yup I love our left wing PMs in waiting.
  25. Well Blair won a 66 majority with 36% of the vote in 2005.
