  1. I think it was a UEFA rule and we adopted it when we got into Europa League? And I suppose we live in hope after that? I remember a couple of years ago United and Spurs had a shirt that faded into their shorts but UEFA rules said they had to have the same colour shorts and tops. They looked very silly.
  2. Never seen a better embodiment of the phrase "form is temporary, class is permanent". For a short while he was in very good form and rightly earned an England call up. Then he reverted to his true class i.e. shit. Hope he enjoys his last pay day and the view from the bench.
  3. Stuart Armstrong and Adams both playing well for Scotland who are 2-0 up against Armenia, nearly half time. Armstrong hit the post early on.
  4. Arsenal want £8.5m for Leno, surely we should be all over that?
  5. Joke.
  6. Clearly. https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/76144/why-no-one-wanted-aws-third-pound-burger
  7. Because 100% of their customers under the age of 60 are most comfortable with metric. Only the US use a corrupted version of imperial, the rest of the world is metric.
  8. So long as the stripe/stripes go down the back too I'm happy.
  9. Yes, but he's only available 1 game a season whereas Bednarek usually makes 40+.
  10. This is important and I hope people take note, because if Johnson goes there will be an effort to rebrand the successor as the "new" Tory party, like Johnson himself successfully did after ousting May.
  11. Annual reminder for everyone on this thread - it's a much more enjoyable experience if you put MLG on ignore, you can always manually expand his posts if you wish to read his asinine non-contributary comments.
  12. Bit of a step down for Moi surely? I mean sure he'd get to play in six CL games before they get knocked out but the rest of the year he'd be playing in the Turkish League. He made 30 PL appearances for us this season and did okay.
  13. They were in the Prem fairly recently, David Wagner I think was their boss? I'd prefer Forest up but I think they have a fair few loan players that they might struggle to retain/replace.
  14. Glad to see this, correct decision and it's happened nice and quickly after the end of the season. It will be interesting to see who we bring in as replacements - Ralph's choice of staff? Or a group with one eye on having a decent interim staff should we start the season poorly and Ralph gets the boot?
  15. If there were a general election tomorrow, who would you vote for?
  16. Johnson breaking out all the classics in Parliament: "I have learned my lessons and apologise" "[waffle waffle]... strong economy from exiting lockdown, high wage high employment" "Now we can move on and focus on the important matters" Joke of a man.
  17. Still can't believe we made our money back on Jannick.
  18. Just as well then that it wasn't "parties" that were illegal - it was any gathering of 2 or more people for non-work related reasons. DJ or no DJ (though there was a DJ for at least one of them!)
  19. I sure hope nobody is taking anything written in The Sun seriously...
  20. The official Downing Street photographer was at some of these events - we paid for these photos to be taken!
  21. I think Burnley are in serious trouble, their buyout was done by loading the club with debt and now they're going to be without PL money and must be struggling financially after Covid anyway. If they don't come straight back up I can see them copying our friends down the road and adding a subtle "Community" into their name.
  22. Excellent last day, if you didn't watch the Saints game (I switched over to City/Villa at 3-1). Good job Leeds, glad to see them survive with Burnley going down, and Arsenal did us a favour to help us finish 15th and make our season look slightly less shit than it was. City well deserved, Gerrard slip up costs Liverpool the title again etc.
  23. What has Che Adams done to be on the bench every week? He's our only forward that knows where the net is.
  24. I reckon he's got it in him to be a first-rate groundskeeper, and still fairly young too. Get him training up and maybe he'll be able to spike the turf at half time by the end of next season.
  25. Well that frees up £70k a week. It's strange how indifferent I am about a guy that's been here 7+ years leaving.
