Don't have a problem with rental controls, even though perhaps I should, but I think it will be hard to control. Certainly won't get many people taking on 3 year contracts. All I can see happening is massive initial price hikes to take into account the increases they'd likely implement over the 3 years. All they'd do is give it a lick of paint and say to the new tenants that it's been renovated, hence the increase over the previous tenant. As we all know there is a lack of properties this wouldn't be too much of an issue.

I used to really like their pizza's..from stores with ice compartments.

So, Charlie was having an argument as per usual after being his usual negative/wummy self. Anyway, he was replying to someone and replied with his 'Yuki' account, and then admitted he'd logged into his incorrect account. He then started to say he was a number of other posters, including Dig Dig etc, and the powers that be banned him. Seemed very strange, but funny. Was similar to when Richmond argued with himself.

The reason it's being over-stated is it helps the Tories, that's all, which is why the right wing press are really pushing it. As you say, Trident will happen whatever, there is cross party support from bith the Labour and Tory party to get that through, as I'm sure there will be for any future terrorism laws.

How does people making money out of their properties have any relevance then? They're not talking capital gains tax, just a tax for those that live in houses worth over £2m.

Can't disagree with any of that. I'm not crying injustice by the way, all I am saying is there are better ways to do it, and that no matter what happens, some innocents will always get mixed up with those who should pay it. I do worry about the mid priced market though.

This is a forum. You can only base your opinions on what people write. To me, you come across as bitter and envious, but of course I know nothing of your life. You could be a millionaire playboy. You could live in a bedsit in Slough. I have no idea. However, from your posts about those who have made money from their houses by being the right age (and we both know this isn't the first time you've mentioned it - we've debated it before on this thread I believe), you seem to have a real problem with those who have lucked into money. But, just out of interest, do you think lottery wins should be taxed?
