  1. We brought in a manager who had no experience of this situation, and we expected him to be able to do something about it. I expected him to not be able to lift the team. Gutted to be right.
  2. It's not, and it's naive/wilful ignorance to think that's true.
  3. TBF, from what I remember about Johnny, he has quite a lot of it (money)...
  4. Yep, 100%. This is the issue where Corbyn doesn't have any press ally's, and the Conservatives do. It's not right, but it won't change until Labour put someone in place who the press can get behind.
  5. There is also a massive hatred towards people who just vote Conservative on Social Media, that's why you get so many 'shy' Conservatives. Agree it's mostly ridicule, which I guess in some camps can be seen as 'hatred'.
  6. TBF, Facebook and Twitter is mainly faux hatred - we all know that with the ridiculous trolling that happens on there. People don't use social media the same way they talk face to face - so I find it hard to equate what is written on there to actual hatred. To be fair, I'm sure some people do hate him, but I also guarantee they don't exactly know why they hate him.
  7. You're just projecting feelings onto a random group of people - you're better than that.
  8. Do people actually hate Corbyn? There's not much to actually hate - his hearts in the right place, but he's a fantasist and just seems completely unsuited to his role. Hate though? Hate is SUCH a strong word.
  9. It's 2018 mate...
  10. See, excellent posts like this just end the thread because I don't think it can be argued against.
  11. Genuine question here Shurlock - do you think there is an actual issue here, or is it a construct supported by the Tories and pushed through the media? Or, as I suspect, a little from column A, and a little from column B.
  12. Yeah, those Conservatives at the Manchester Guardian are really doing a number on him...
  13. Batman and Goose. Has a rather **** ring to it.
  14. Wow, this is up there with getting Strachan back as Manager. Congratulations!
  15. Yermamas Gorge, located South of Hermassif Hills.
  16. That's commitment from Bertrand if anyone wanted to see it. England place/position sewn up, back to concentrate on keeping us up. By the way, if anyone has met Ryan, you'll realise that his demeanour on the pitch is not a case of him not being committed, more that he's just quite quiet and like that. A switched on and intelligent guy as well.
  17. 3-5-2 needed, McCarthy Yoshida Stephens Hoedt Cedric Lemina Boufal Hojberg Bertrand Austin Gabbi Obviously Boufal could be swapped for Tadic, Romeu for Hojberg/Lemina as and when, or possibly play Romeu in the centre of the back 3 and allow him to bring it out. Could even try Ward Prowse at WRB.
  18. Hey, if he wants to win me over that's a good ****ing start.
  19. It's fine if you don't agree - but you're not seeing it from the outside (assuming you're a Corbyn supporter).
  20. The problem with Corbyn is that he doesn't know how to play the game. He's that bloke at work who's been there 30 years, knows his area inside and out, but was never bothered about building relationships within the company. He's virtually anonymous to anyone outside his department. Then, after a real downturn for the department, the boss was sacked. The remaining employees, knowing that he had been there 30 years and he knew his area really well and that he doesn't play the political game, all thought he'd be best to take over. However, in his first few cross-company meetings, he started proposing that we go back to using work practices from the 70's. He then promoted the office secretary to be Assistant Manager (not Assistant to the Manager) because he slept with her in the 70', when they were both up and coming at the company. Internally and externally he started being viewed as dangerous to the harmony of the Department and Company, however as he'd been there so long, and he hadn't actually done anything wrong (apart from coming across as a man from a bygone era), they couldn't sack him, and they couldn't make him redundant because the role was needed. The problem is though, he just always says the wrong thing - he has no off switch, and when put in front of other companies, especially clients, it's embarrassing. They're waiting for the next Internal Audit to be able to get rid of him, but are just trying to ensure he does nothing wrong to further put the Department at risk.
  21. Brendan Rodgers please...
  22. I think Neil Warnock is the most underrated Manager working in English football, so happy to take his word for that.
  23. http://www.football365.com/news/stuck-in-the-middle-with-hughes-his-six-most-used-players Makes for pleasant reading...
  24. It is a new situation - we've got to hope the new Manager bounce is good. What an utter **** Reed has been to wait until now to make this change.
