Any updates from the ITKs in the last couple of days?
-
10pm signing? Any smileys in the offing Guan?
-
I'd be very happy with him for £9.5m

@SimonPeach: “@JAShapland: @SimonPeach any talk of another striker coming in, Simon?” Yeah, they want one of them too Hernandez or Remy please...

Hi Buddy
-
@SouthamptonFC: We are delighted to announce that #SaintsFC have signed goalkeeper @FraserForster on a four-year deal. #SaintFraser http://t.co/4VAHKDJPaE
-
Not exactly the most reliable source, and I would think he's too similar to Pelle style-wise, but I bloody hope it's true! @Transferinho: We have been informed that Southampton have made a bid for Swansea striker Wilfried Bony today.
-
He's taken out any mention of Celtic from his Twitter bio, so that it now just reads "Goalkeeper" - announcement imminent I reckon
-
What stand were you in? From the Northam in the first half (when we were attacking that goal) his interplay with Clyne and JWP was brilliant down the wing, some great touches and little flick ons to get the ball out for the overlapping full back to put a ball in. Impressed me massively, looks very tricky and composed under pressure. I couldn't tell which (new shirts are nice, but it's bloody difficult to read the shirt numbers), but either him or JWP played a ludicrous through ball to Isgrove just before half time and for me he looked our best player...

Would be nice to see Gaston come good, looked quite tidy in his brief appearance. Had a good shot and a nice run that he got fouled on after going past a couple of ze Germans
-
Christ, ze Germans are soft cvnts - keep diving!
-
Tadic has been utter class, JWP good too. Pelle looks handy in the air, Yoshida missed a sitter and Bertrand is no Shaw. Pleasantly surprised by Isgrove too...

We need some continuity, otherwise when a manager leaves he'll just buy all the players he bought at his last club to go with him and his coaching staff. Having someone stay around in the job longer gives them more expertise and ensures that the players aren't just following the manager - a good analogy would be the civil service and the party forming the government, this way there's knowledge all ready there when the new lot come in...
-
That's Leicaly to annoy some on here...
-
Have you got a link please Redslo? For the lazier among us (myself included), really enjoyed the one on FFP by the way
-
Just trying to save face, why pre-emptively follow Saints if you weren't intent on going there?
-
He played with Taïder at Bologna didn't he? Maybe he was brought in for that reason as well? Having someone who knows his game as well as a new manager and new system will hopefully bring out the best in Gaston, obviously got heaps of talent but it's just not quite clicked at a Saints yet for whatever reason...
-
The more I think about it, the less I'm concerned about the fee. If he works out he could be our first choice keeper and an England international for 8-10 years conceivably. If so, that'd represent bloody good value!

Fail to prepare and prepare to fail! All about contingency planning I suppose...

@LyallThomas: Meanwhile, #Southampton manager Koeman has suggested: "Maybe #Tottenham is pressing Schneiderlin, maybe the agent is - it's difficult" #THFC @LyallThomas: Koeman on Schneiderlin: "If this is still the situation next week then Morgan has a big problem." #Tottenham #THFC #Southampton #SaintsFC @LyallThomas: Koeman on Schneiderlin: “First of all you have to know you signed a contract and you have to respect that" #Tottenham #THFC #SaintsFC @LyallThomas: Koeman: "We told Schneiderlin to take two days off and think about the situation because we will not change our minds." #Tottenham #SaintsFC From the papers part of the press conference

I remember the intense feeling of dread I got seeing Gazza's name on the team sheet. I remember watching the Chelsea game with some mates who support them and when Boruc went off and Gazza came on I bet them they'd score at least 2 more. Still, got a free pint out of it, I suppose...

Thanks K Billy. Most people on here (those with the dry sheets, at least) greatly appreciate all the ITK snippets from yourself, Guan and Monk
