Good post Phil! The actual pace of counter attack was glaring yesterday coupled with composed finishes! Hammond was immense yesterday in my opinion but no pace, Lambert, superstar, no real pace, Barnard, no pace, holmes, no pace and so it goes on!! Will players like Mclaggon and Gobern provide the missing ingredient when they reach maturity!? This team at mo, is only good enough to get out of league one and that is with additions!! Danns would have been a cracking addition!

Went last night and was ecstatic about trip to Wembley! I was in agreement with Fitzhugh though about our standard of performance esp in the second half! A better team would have put us under real pressure!!! I remember thinking at the 2-2 Norwich game just what a good team we had the potential to be!! Even though Norwich put us under real pressure, we played some fantastic attacking football that day and scored one of the goals of the season through Connolly. In fact on the day, his link up play with Lallana was a joy to watch! No offense to Ricky who is a goal poacher extraordinaire or to papa who worked his nuts off last night, but we just seemed to be lacking that spark last night and in the last few games. That spark was David Connolly!! Just hope we see him back soon as we strive to achieve the impossible!

The only thing I would say is, if we highlighted three players that we wanted and all were available, wouldn't it be common business sense to opt for cheaper option!!! leaves money for other things!! And we did buy Fonmte who looks class!!
