  1. Just read the interview on the LFC site, very disrespectful to Saints fans. Who advises him? Time to move on.
  2. Bruno Martins Indi might be a good shout if we sell Shaw. It seems Everton are looking at him, but he obviously want to be first choice LB. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/everton-transfer-news-toffees-chasing-dutch-pair-stefan-de-vrij-and-bruno-martins-indi-9541003.html
  3. Proost!! Absolutely excellent appointment; probably the best we could have done. Really pleased!
  4. I don't see how anyone could listen to that interview and not feel very positive about the future. Well done Les!
  5. First choice Koeman. Second choice Yakin. Third Moyes. Very excited about Koeman, a step up from MP. Wouldn't want Magath anywhere near the club despite his past success. He is universally despised everywhere he's been. Sherwood's behaviour also leaves a lot to be desired and I don't think he's that tactically astute.
  6. Totally agree with this. Shaw's one-footedness drives me nuts. Stilll he is a better overall fullback than Chambers because of the threat of his speed. Chambers is excellent though, as is Clyne.
  7. Mine has just been shipped. I'm choosing to believe he is a fantastic chap who doesn't want to play for anyone but Saints.
  8. Class, on and off the field; will always be Saint’s legend. Best wishes; score a few for England this summer please.
  9. Interesting piece on Koeman's Valencia problems. With our squad who are used to the pressing game I think he would be an excellent choice though. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2008/apr/21/europeanfootball.sport
  10. I decided to buy a Lallana shirt anyway. Just 'cause he's a damm good footballer!
  11. I think it will all depend upon the new manager. If he thinks the situation is salvageable he could stay. Tabula rasa for all concerned.
  12. For consistency in continuing the style of play under MP Jorge Sampaoli would be my choice. I have no idea if he would consider coming here though.
  13. I'm sad to lose Rickie, but happy for him. You really can't begrudge him this opportunity, and being a super-sub for Liverpool is a really good role for him. Now we need to find a replacement....
  14. It could be a case of one or two steps backwards, two or three steps forward, we won’t know until the dust settles in August. I hate to see Rickie leave, but deep down I’m happy for him, seems like such a nice bloke. I don’t feel the same about MP, always thought he would leave; we were always going to be just a stepping stone for him. If we lose Luke I’ll be disappointed, but as long as it’s for silly money I can live with it. If we lose any of Adam or Dejan or Morgan as well, now that would be depressing. In my opinion this is recoverable situation. If the board appoints a quality manager quickly and shows some positive intent then the fans can be patient through the summer, but any more players leaving without a manager in place will completely erode any faith I have in this board.
  15. This exactly; the board haven't done anything to back. They need to act quickly (before the world cup) and appoint a quality manager. Then I'm sure they will be backed. What they don't need is to be criticized without being given a chance.
