  1. It'll go unnoticed, but Prowsey is directing Wanyama where to go, haha (no doubt fatigue is making Vic a bit slow, but still, he listened).
  2. Glad someone can see the incident for what it was. Tadic should've wiped out Hazard/Oscar(?) himself in Chelsea's half.
  3. I was literally scrolling down this page thinking to myself, 'Where's Turkish? Where's Turkish? Where's Turkish?!!...Oh, there's Turkish'. *yawns* Anyway, Dagenham & Redbridge. I think it has something to do with a save on the old Championship Manager series (yes, that tenuous).
  4. I still don't understand where this interpretation is coming from. Soares has started 6 of the 7 league games, with Martina/Yoshida largely being selected for Europa League action...which is why we signed Martina, and is Yoshida's role (backup/rotation). P.S I think it's obvious (to the point of smacking you in the face) that Koeman knows this is the best back 4 long term.
  5. Haha, it caused me to double-take.
  6. Fo' real? CBFry was being sarcastic (wasted summer, etc), it escaped many. DigDig sarcastically points out that three of our summer signings didn't play much/at all today, thereby justifying his unfavorable perception of our window. Basically, It's the annual circlejerk. Christmas has come early
  7. A word of warning though, pulling that pose is also an embarrassment. Being made of limestone/granite is similarly an embarrassment. Having long hair makes you a chick. Something something something makes you a c*nt. P.S I haven't joined in with such chanting, so I'm not going to condemn/condone it (...I don't really give a fudge), but some of you seem to have deluded yourselves into thinking that your view of the World (in this case, a very small part of it) trumps all others. A selection of you sound like some of the most intolerant and intolerable people around. The temerity of it all is quite striking. Bah, at least you can go to bed at night knowing you're proper fans - for which you'll be remembered for generations, I'm sure.
  8. I was going to comment on here that you called it, but given that you've already managed to give yourself a pat on the back, I feel somewhat sorry for you As you've said, Targett injured. No other option.
  9. Exactly this. The speculation is already happening and he has nigh on two years left. Answer it once and be done with it (I.e. he can tell journos to refer his answers from last week (that is if it isn't the very same journos asking the very same question...which it probably would be...in which case he should behave a little surly ).
  10. That just sounds like a strategy to appease the press. I'd rather he told them that he's just not answering the question.
  11. On the Seager subject, this is how I currently see it (and have viewed it ever since last season when his goal tally was causing 'headlines', in all honesty). I just can't see his skill set translating. Of all the tipped graduates, I've long thought he is the least likely to progress. The sharp end of a stick which lacks a handle. Not writing him off, of course. At any rate, he'll have a career to be proud of somewhere. P.S I'm talking in terms of him being a potential starter.
  12. "Watched" as in 'at the game/in the stadium?' Sorry, just trying to clarify because as previously mentioned, a perspective other than Merrington's would be ideal Reference Ramirez, what you know sounds about right (to me). Deeper being a CM birth, which is ultimately his downfall, because he'll never get it in this team/league. (As always, all imo) Edit: Assuming you were at the match, thanks for the input/answer.
  13. Extended Highlights [video=youtube;-5Sv77i4WVc] Incidentally, I like the way Romeu celebrates our goals. Passion.
  14. I hope you're right, but I strongly suspect otherwise.
  15. Were you at the game last night? Merrington said he looked *okaaaay*, but nothing more. Genuine Q, I'd be interested to hear the perspective of those who caught a glimpse.
  16. Why has Bertrand become a starter all of a sudden? :S He clearly isn't fit enough yet.

I'm not stating my opinion - the club didn't buy another long-term RB, and their argument behind that would be that they didn't have the time they require/targets weren't available. I.e. The club don't tend to purchase players who haven't been on their radar for a while. Clyne leaving didn't alter that philosophy, so Martina on a 2 year deal until next summer was their temp solution.

Yes, the plan was Clyne + young RB. As it transpired, Clyne left, and we weren't prepared (/other targets weren't feasible at the time) to rush through the process of adding another 'expensive' RB (Soares having been on the radar for a while)...hence the stop-gap Martina. P.S I'm assuming you meant Soares/young RB wouldn't have been first choice.
  19. Let sleeping dogs lie In all seriousness, I'm in no position to tell you what and where to post, but it *may* be best to start a new thread, because it's clearly something that can be discussed at length/as part of a broader subject, and some folk have politely suggested that we remain within the confines of MKDons
  20. Regardless of my feelings on the premature nature of consigning Martina to the scrap heap, it was reportedly a £1m deal (£3m has been mentioned too, but Sky say £1m and we all know tthat they would prefer it to be £3m in their quest to continually break the transfer window records ). So, over the past two 'years' (under Koeman/without a certain influence), you can only really point to Martina and Gardos (i would disagree on both counts). That isn't too shabby. Anyway, as David says. MK Dons buld-up, innit
  21. "Bellend"...nice one. If it's not a shock that some signings don't work out (I.e. because it's a given that some won't, for every club), why is it plausible to suggest that we should be eradicating this wastage? (which is the connotation behind these posts). If every club wastes money (as you tacitly acknowledge), why would you hold the board to a different set of standards? You can only fairly judge the board after you apply context (I.e. determine how much other teams waste in comparison). In conclusion, yes, we could eradicate all waste spending, but then that would place our recruitment policy in a pantheon, unrivalled by any other. Besides, as Steve's alluded to, the wastage is primarily in the past What I will concede though, is that small fees do indeed add up Bellend out *drops mic* P.S Of course, I hope you realise my original comment was mostly said in jest.

That's almost it, verbatim. He says, "when it was clear that Nathaniel was not going to sign a new contract, we had to step that up up a bit..."(whilst talking about signing young RBs being on the agenda). Ties In with my general recollection of the events. Factually, it checks out too. Soares signed 18/06/15, the process took around one month, suggesting mid-to-late May origins. Offers for Clyne were made public around the end of May (arguably contact beforehand).
