Holmes for me is a real find. Confident on the ball and always involved. Cork at the back looked promising and also Gillet is looking good with his terrier like workmanship. On the whole a very good performance and we were not overly troubled by brum. McGoldrick is a slight concern as his first touch and control were a little dodgy but perhaps this was because he was pushed out a liitle wide which does not look his natural position. Good performance though and can see them turning over many sides this seasons.

I am over from abroad for a visit and got to see the brum game. On the whole I was impressed with what I saw and enjoyed the new style. After seeing that I can understand the excitement and buzz going around. The strengh in depth worries me, but after seeing them my fears of certain relegation have gone. I feel more positive about our future but need to keep my feet firmly on the ground for a while yet.

Senior moment alert! Can anyone help me with the guy Steve Flood as there was a Steve Flood in the same year as me at Redbridge school in the 70's and he was a damn good footballer. I am sure he went onto Fulhams books but not sure. Ginger guy if I remember rightly, anyone.

Agreed in full. -
You are getting soooooooooooooooooo tedious. Free speach and opinion is what this forum is all about, stop trying to get everybody to agree with your views only, it won´t happen!

As I mentioned on another thread, this club can be likened to a parenthood, if you have disfunctional parents you get disfunctional kids. Professor and the like can spout on all they like about the Lowe haters and the negativity, but there is no smoke without fire. Over the last few years this club has been run in a shambolic manner. Lowe, Wilde, Crouch, the whole damn lot of them have contributed. The minute we feel the club is on the up, another piece of sh*te falls on our duvet. The club itself has provided far too many negatives and failures to then expect the fans to leap about with joy when yet another plan is put into action. No true saints fan wants to see saints loose even if it means the demise of Lowe again, but unfortunately with all that has gone on, most expect them to.

I know that this Fulphorpe/Merrington thing has been hanging around a few months now, but I am not being sucked into the big dissapointment/huge let down syndrome again.

Who would be your next offload to reduce the wage bill if required?
Saint Billy replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
I appreciate what you are saying, but the problem I have with all of this is that Lowe was tinkering with this idea of using the dutch guys and playing the youth before he was ousted, and yet he basically states now that these new reforms have been forced on him because of our financial state. I tend to smell a rat in all of this and in my opinion, after making good profits in the past by selling our home grown talent, he intends to do the same but more frequently. In one way, this is good business, but on the other hand it is no good for the fans of this club as it causes instability with the numerous comings and goings of playing staff, and does not guarantee success because of that. -

Results do bear that out at the moment but time will indeed tell on that one as I know it is early days. -

I am sure banks will also raise an eyelid if you asset strip your own business to such an extent that it is no longer a viable business. -

Oh please, what utter and complete bullsh*t. Surely a case of If you can't convince them, confuse them. -
I was thinking the same thing. How about an apple for the teacher delldays.

Ok, Lowe for sure does not deserve all the blame, but lets face it, he is pretty damn unpopular now and not just with the fans. Surely, that cannot be constructive for the club can it?
