  1. Hopefully he left his arsehole at Southampton. Will mean that Big Vic can tear him a new one tomorrow.
  2. Don't be too thrilled. This partnership will see Garmin thrive and it's headwear will be at Liverpool in no time.
  3. Enjoyed that Rasiak. Football is no different from the greater world. The big clubs get bigger, and the small clubs wither. I'm sure most of us are customers of Asda/Tesco/Sainsbury's and the like. Nevertheless, would we be pleased to discover that a thriving independent village shop has been bought out and sterilised into a Tesco Metro? Supporting the big guys is fine, but cheering them on as they buy out the competition must leave a bitter taste.
  4. It's honest though. Would you blindly nod along to him suggesting that as a boy growing up in NW Romania, he watched Southampton on tv every week and dreamed of one day playing for them?
  5. That idea of the 'New York minute' seems to happen to anxious fans in the transfer window. The constant checking of threads/the wider internet for new bits of drip-fed information and rumours as if it will yield something. Went away for a few days recently and returned home rationally thinking that there can't be many new developments in such a short time. Now the internet is before me again, I have lost all perspective and get frustrated when my ~hourly refresh of the OS/twitter produces nothing.
  6. How about a banner saying "If we were women, we would be the sort to spraypaint our husbands cars and sell their prized possessions on ebay because they upset us". It doesn't matter whether or not this is chosen because either way it is what the rest of the world will see if anyone does choses to make a butthurt banner.
  7. For those worrying about Pelle being Altidore v2.0, the latter's goalscoring record wasn't particularly impressive for the eredivisie and every Dutch person I have spoken to about him agreed he was a very average striker. If being average in the eredivisie converts to being woeful in the PL, hopefully Pelle's exceptional record will convert to the upper end of average/lower end of good at the very least!
  8. JoHo on the bench?
  9. Taking that analogy further, is signing players in on loan the equivalent of staying in a hotel?
  10. Yeah, deep down I know all that really. I'm just clutching at straws to be honest.
  11. The fact that players are doing tests today is promising. Granted Bertrand is new, but could the delay in Yoshi and Tadic's turn be a matter of waiting for a couple of arrivals so they can get it done in one go, rather than having players use the facilities in dribs and drabs?
  12. He said a Big signing. At 5'9", we can rule Javier Hernandez out. Fraser Forster (6'7") on the other hand..
  13. Schneiderlin, Schneiderlin Does whatever Wes Sneijder can Downs a striker, any size They fall over, then they cry Look out! Here comes the Schneiderlin! Is he strong? Listen bud, He's got Alsatian blood Can his passing be read? Lobs a ball overhead Hey there! There goes the Schneiderlin! etc etc
  14. I would prefer us to concede first and go on to win, or at least equalise. Coming back from behind to win simply did not happen with Pochettino, so I would like to see that it is possible. I do not think a win would create complacency anyway, only give us the much needed confidence which no doubt took some damage over the course of the exodus.
  15. Ok, I will just about tolerate it when we are playing Liverpool but will feel embarrassment for the other 36 games of the season. Lallana's departure is both upsetting and angering, but immortalising him in a chant dedicated to one of our new signings is petty. Supposing you acquired a new partner and any compliment laid upon you was not based on your own merit but benchmarked against their ex, you could be forgiven for thinking that they are carrying some emotional baggage into the relationship. Let's not be the bitter party here whose praise is predominantly designed to denigrate the former partner before showing any legitimate respect for the new one.
  16. Notice he has changed his twitter handle to @DejanLovrenLFC6. Seems to me he's doing his best to ingratiate himself with Liverpool fans as if to negate the hostility from some Saints fans. Ah well, I hope he does amazingly and attracts the interest of Barca/Real which will make both his username and charm offensive a little embarassing.
  17. He guarantees that Schneiderlin and Rodriguez won't be sold. Not having any of it tbh..
  18. I think our strikers would find space very easily given the strong scent of urine emanating from our pants.
  19. Think you're being a bit thick here. Didcot is implying that all that money in the bank counts for nothing if it is not used to buy players.
  20. That's not radical enough. I think the board should completely dissolve the club, then none of our players will ever be bought again!!
  21. Sadly I agree. Prone myself to sometimes start saying one word, and instantaneously changing it without real thought. Happened just this morning when I called the missus 'darling' but changed it to 'love' and ended up calling her 'dove'. Let's hope he doesn't make the same mistake when speaking about Pelle, lest people start speculating we are about to sign a certain Israeli spoonbender.
  22. Interesting how interviewer said "There's still some players to come back into the squad, people like Victor Wanyama". It's only him and Morgan still yet to return isn't it? The failure to mention the latter doesn't bode well.
  23. Thought this was going to say 'Luke Shaw admits to being gay'. Just waiting for the day that closet opens so I can say 'hah, I told you so!'
  24. With Leicester City's promotion, I'm not looking forward to hearing familial comparisons made every time their goalkeeper catches the ball.
