  1. Strange. My dad recently mentioned Big Jos and a mobile phone shop he is a patron of in the same sentence. He has a reputation as a phone man or something?
  2. Eagerly anticipating the thumbs up picture of Lovren now to reassure those of us worrying about him.... ... ..
  3. Any time you see him in any of the footage/photography from pre-season, he looks like a petulant child who has been forced to accompany his mother on a shopping trip. A far cry from his cheery demeanour throughout the course of last season. Will never know the true extent of how he's behaving behind the scenes, but would expect that Koeman would remove him if he was creating a negative atmosphere. At any rate, it's clear he doesn't want to be here any more. Don't expect to see any instagram/twitter happy looking photos of him in his training kit etc until it's got a Liverpool crest on it. Would give left testicle to do the double over Liverpool this season. Would give both to finish above Liverpool and Spurs.
  4. We're in for Andy and Richie Dorman, respectively from the MLS and Ykkönen (Finnish 2nd tier) then? Koeman out.
  5. Bit of footage from the game here if anyone is feeling impatient. http://www.l1.nl/video/ehc-southampton-doelpunten-15-juli-2014
  6. Is this a collaborative effort where the Liverpool fans sing the parts in brackets?
  7. Going to submit my entry for worst chant ever. He plays up the front Lallana's a c*** Graziano Pelle A good looking Fella.
  8. Got to wonder if Koeman took offence to his remarks. Lovren's declaration that the board had no ambition/vision came after Koeman was appointed, from which Ron could infer that Lovren does not regard the appointment as a positive step. I'd feel pretty undermined by that. Putting down my pitchfork and extinguishing the burning effigy on this one, and would rather Lovren came out with a statement that his comments were made in panic after the quick succession of players departing, but he has now been reassured by the transfer activity and is sorry. Might not be completely true, but biting the bullet and at least giving us another year will be of benefit for everyone.
  9. Different kind of nutter to Osvaldo. Given the context I think this kind of reaction stems from him being fiercely competitive. I don't think Osvaldo particularly cared if we won or lost. Yes, it's potentially troublesome but it shows he has the drive and determination to win. There are good nuts and there are bad nuts. Pelle is a pistachio while Osvaldo is a testicle.
  10. Will we get the announcement today? ITK confirmations are great, but it never feels tangible until the pics come out!
  11. I think all the reporters are going to be a bit confused. They can no longer ask 'Is Luke Shaw going to stay?' or 'Are you succeeding Sherwood as Tottenham manager?' ad nauseum.
  12. So Pelle has between ~10.00am and lunchtime to be notified, book a plane, catch a flight and arrive at Staplewood? Sounds like a high octane, if slightly boring thriller
  13. Would be a bit of a stretch. Was a good few days of Tadic being reportedly signed before it was officially announced. I'd give it a week or two.
  14. Hopefully Lovren won't take a page out of Osvaldo's exit strategy and commit an atrocity on Tadic to force a move.
  15. Part of the deal for Ron Vlaar or Danny Ings perhaps?
  16. He is the subject of this thread. A resident of Ocean Village, Southampton. Probably.
  17. As of yesterday, he is back in Southampton by the way. I wonder why..
  18. Think his wife might be an influencing factor also. She was off on week long holidays virtually every month. She left Southampton a good 2-4 weeks before the season ended.
  19. I expect Lallana will end up being very similar to Ozil, if a bit worse owing to him going from being a big fish in a small pond. For everyone upset about him leaving, don't worry. It'll be as if he isn't even there!
  20. No wonder everyone's leaving.
  21. I might be wrong, but I can't recall ever coming from behind to win a game last season. If the other team scored first it was guaranteed to be either game over or a draw. Hoping to see plenty of teams capitalise on Mauricio Noplan-b-no's style. Most teams tactically adjusted to it by the halfway point last season, I'm guessing everyone will be wise come August.
  22. What I like about the garish thing is that they definitely couldn't get off with selling it for more than a tenner. £3.99 training kit t-shirt? Why not.
  23. l Other clubs are well aware of what he is. Can't see the board accepting peanuts for him. Unless he can be shipped off on a string of loans for the remainder of his contract (unlikely that Juve will renew interest), we're stuck with him. That said, can't really imagine seeing him at Staplewood again let alone playing on SMS.
  24. Wouldn't mind seeing Osvaldo and Pelle starting up front together. Could be a formidable force, or a clash of the psychopaths.
  25. He was looking healthy enough just 20 hours ago at a poolside in Miami. Hmm... http://instagram.com/p/p4Q_wJop78/
