I never rated Benali after seeing that own goal against Oldham on my first live Saints game, and the rose tinted specs' only ever saw the own goals, yellow/red cards and stupid challenges that gave away free kicks/penalties, from that point on. Off the field, Kenzie Benali is up there as one of the worst signings on the pre-match staff - and she's even worse on Radio Solent whenever she "reads" out the traffic/travel from the script in front of her. Seeing her at Kelvin Davis' testimontial during the MLT/Lambert penalty shootout, trying not to slip whilst wearing stupid high heeled shoes is a highlight tho'.

Suspect Norwich are more likely tbh, given his allegiances when he was in player form.
-
Players have lost all motivation due to the lack of leadership. They want a change, and who is more likely to go? All of them, or just the senior management team? Not the players. By dropping Captain Jack, he tried to send a message to the players that he is the one in authority and push back, but his players seemingly have all congregated to the opposite side. Will Still's ship is holed, his ballast tanks known as his brothers are missing, and it is slowly sinking.

That'll mean Lallana should be able to stay in the setup and one less person to pay off. Win win

Where was Jack Stephens actually asked to play on the field when he replaced Scienza? Was it him that ducked out of the way for the equaliser as well?

I am going to stand on the side of the garden, with my arms folded for the next 100 minutes That will motivate me.

Should have kept Stewart on, he would have been more effective than Downs.
-
I'm sure when Jack comes back in, he'll be reinstated as captain to prove there's no ill will with the boss....

potentially today, the front 6, and therefore the majority of the eleven, will have little or no experience of the Martin way of playing. Shea Charles was out on loan last season, Fraser was seemingly ostracized for the majority of the season, and Stewart was quarantined in the treatment room. Jander, Fellows and Aziz, along with the RB as well, all newbies.

Christ, that SSN reporter camped at Tottenham is a right plum.

Not sure QPR could afford to splurge 8m on anyone tbh

Wrexham agree deal with Cov' for its captain Ben Sheaf... Smallbone probably staying now.
-
Zero to no chance Bazunu will be benched the next game, either for McCarthy, Long, Blackstock or anyone else. McCarthy did well in midweek, if there was going to be a change, it would have happened today.

At least all the Rangers fans, should their team lose on Sunday, can take some solace in the fact that it should be a brave performance.
-
A chap at work (Bristol City fan) suggested Saints should take a punt on Josh Brownhill, ex City and Burnley on a free. "Low risk but quite old" - he's 29 according to wiki.

I wonder if the Stoke chairman/owner will fly in to see the game in his chopper?

Well we decided to go to the ticket office this morning to renew, as our electricity is being cut off today due to maintenance by Southern Electric, and our mobile reception is poor. Got there 0915hrs and joined a short queue. The shutters were opened at 0930hrs, where two people were situated ready for the rabble! My word was it a slow process. A number of the people were turned away as it was not their renewal window, and those that were able to renew, it was generally a 15-20 minute process each time. Therefore, 5-6 people an hour were getting processed. Now, no blame or criticism to those two staff members behind the counter, but the Club surely should have had more than two windows open. Choices for like-for-like seating was very limited, as block 37 is already occupied, and 47-48 are safe standing. Four blocks into two doesn't work. You can of course request to move once the deadline for renewals has passed, and the Club will do its best to accommodate like-for-like seating. Oh, and the car park at the Stadium was closed as well
-
In essence, the club is asking the entire Itchen south contingent to move into six blocks probably already 60% full with ST Holders, without paying 120 quid extra. They'll be some peeps that have already moved, but I don't think it's going to work. There's six of us in our group, I think getting 3 seats together x2 is going to be am issue.

Bin awful kenzie and that other herbert, and give Mark Dennis the mic every pre match....!
-
Ross Stewart not warming up whereas ty dibling is?
-
Looks like I'll be in the kids zone now...!

Win the next two, which will be difficult of course, and it's level pegging with Leeds on points before they play again. Baby steps to the improbable!
-
Even if Saints wins all 5 of the games left, they still need Leicester to drop further points to go up automatically. As it stands, they can only finish 3rd if they do indeed achieve 15/15 (Leeds would be 4th). Ipswich 98 Leicester 97 Southampton 96 Leeds 93

We've heard of the blue screen of death, sky showing a black screen with a clock. It's all Jack Stephens' fault.

As I said in another thread, what worried me today was that Saints were ooking for a out of position centre back, whom is playing at left back and wandering into central midfield, to be our main creative genius. It worked a treat, didn't it.
