I do not know enough about this subject to know whether your response is a serious answer I don't understand or a joke I don't understand.

Which club is better: Liverpool, Tottenham, Southampton, or Swansea
Redslo replied to Redslo's topic in The Saints
For my own information, how did my thread get a poll attached to it? I am not complaining, just curious. -
I have a question. How do you sell out games in the Premier League if the opposing club doesn't use up their allotment?

According to Transfermarkt he is still 16 and was born 8/2/1999. http://www.transfermarkt.com/callum-slattery/profil/spieler/332342

I can take it, but I will check out that board. Not sure I need to be posting on three saints forums. (Oops. Gratuitous religious reference.) -

I would be a bigger recipe than that. -

I have not but that says nothing about this issue. I am quite capable of opining that teams in other sports were either not as good or not as bad as their record indicates. This point of view is undoubtedly more common in the USA where, because of playoffs, we are used to teams winning championships without being the best side during the regular season. Also, brilliant. -

Brilliant response to my satirical thread creation. -
Someone suggested that this debate should move out of another thread so here it is. I believe that we were the best team last year and Liverpool and Tottenham were lucky to finish above us. That may not be true this year however since both clubs have players who can do better than they did last year.

He might be talking about how good he becomes. He might also find the specific stats you gave him to function well within the role he gives JWP when player the club. Or maybe he just doesn't think much of JWP in real life. I have been too busy to play FM this year (for the first time since I started with FM 2010) so I have no opinion. This is the internet. You have to take it more seriously. Ok sounds good. I started the new thread.

There was only one which I responded to. Unless the comments made by the people with whom I am debating can be considered pro-religious. A close question in my opinion but right now I am leaning towards not. My reference to "comments" plural was a general statement of my personal policy, not a claim that there had been multiple pro-religious comments on this particular thread. I will not that because pro-religion is viewed as the default state (especially in the USA, although your country does have an official religion) many people making pro-religious comments do not even realize that they are doing that--as in appearing to equate going to church with being a good person. Just for the record, I am content to stop debating this on this thread. I am not content to admit that I should not have responded to the first comment. I am not sure that qualifies as pro-religious but it does help.

How a Billionaire Heiress Cracked the Premier League Boys Club

No idea. Haven't lived in San Francisco since 1991 and probably would know nothing about the house music scene even if I did. I live 200 miles from LA. -
DONE DEAL: Saints sign Maarten Stekelenburg on season-long loan
Redslo replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
He has two years left on his contract at Fulham. That means that they want to loan him out instead of selling him about as much as we want to loan Osvaldo out again instead of selling him. However, I suspect Stekelenburg is on a more reasonable wage and therefore easier to sell. -
So you are publically willing to state that there are things that your are only willing to state privately but that they involve a third signing. Good enough for me.

When the pro religious stuff is left out of this football thread, I will leave my antireligious stuff out of it. As for keeping it to the lounge, I do not actually read the lounge because I am not here for religious or political discussions. I simply will not allow gratuitous pro religious comments to gone without a response in a thread like there where they do not belong. I did not bring up the subject first and it is not like I would have objected if someone had posted "God knows, Vic is a good player."

That's all true. But we also had a lot of shots hitting the woodwork and several games we dominated, but did not win. Final league standing is what matters, but it is not always an accurate reflection of the quality of the team.

Which is why I referenced the two statements I did in bold. Clearly, being a supporter of many charities could make someone a top man. As for my comment being unnecessary, it depends what you mean by that. However, I have chosen not to allow the casual and common assumption that religiousness=good to go unchallenged because it is such a harmful and destructive assumption in the modern world.

It is not exactly the same thing. Goal difference is a real thing. While teams with better goal differences finish behind teams with lesser goal differences regularly, mostly they don't. Given the way the Spurs won many of their games, it is not unreasonable to view them as more lucky than good relative to us, Liverpool, and Swansea.

How a Billionaire Heiress Cracked the Premier League Boys Club
Redslo replied to krissyboy31's topic in The Saints
No, except when I have to appear in front of a court in LA which has happened about 5 or 6 times in 20 years. I was born in San Francisco, grew up in Palo Alto, and live in San Luis Obispo. Only San Francisco is seaside. Palo Alto is bayside, if you ignore the mudflats. -
Since we haven't heard about his signing a new contract, I assume he is referring to the length of his original contract which is four year, two of which are gone. It is not clear to me how these two statements are connected, but perhaps you didn't mean that they were.

Those people have already fallen to their deaths and their bodies have been cleared away.

Thanks for saying that. I was considering checking the regulations myself. You saved me. Let me be clear. This is not sarcasm.

This is a QPR signs Rio Ferdinand type of decision except Distin was never as good as Ferdinand. Unless he is very very cheap, this will use up a bunch of their money that they need to spend elsewhere. Unless, of course, Distin surprises us all and remains healthy and turns out to have another good year in him--something that is unlikely at his age.

It depends on the meaning of the word "credible." As I have pointed out on numerous occasions, profession football clubs use the FM database in scouting. Thus, they find it credible to some extent. Does it mean that it is perfectly accurate? Of course not. However, I am unaware of another source I could use that provides this information to an outside like myself. Moreover, given the nature of bonuses and such, even the clubs themselves do not know their exact salary structure until the fiscal year is over. On the other hand, you are right. Some people will automatically discount information from a game. I can live with that. Frankly, I would be more worried about FM sending me a letter from a lawyer telling me to stop using their information in my blog. However, I assume they like publicity and don't care so long as I don't attempt to monetize my blog.
