Indeed, but you are very unlikely to read about his latest gaff in the right wing press. They are far to busy smearing Corbyn. Johnson should be nowhere near no 10 and nowhere near Brexit. All he is interested in is getting it done. How it gets done is a mere detail which he doesn’t seem bothered about.
-
So best not do anything to try and change things then?
-
It’s a start. Or perhaps we should all just do nothing? One day countries will have no choice but to modify their behaviour. In the meantime someone needs to show the way forward.
-
Let’s get things into perspective. A coach load of Tories have either left or been kicked out of the party. A very small number of Labour MPs have left in comparison yet the right wing press will have us believe that this says more about Corbyn than it does about Johnson. And just to make it clear, I am not a “soppy leftie.” I might vote Labour in this election. I might vote LibDem. I will cast my vote wherever it is more likely to get rid of this dreadful Tory party. Anyone who supports the likes of Johnson, Rees-Mogg, Gove, Patel etc has no right to claim the moral high ground.
-
So who exactly do you think he was referring to?
-
“I’m not voting for some crazy right wing nationalist organisation calling themselves a Tory government.” That would seem to be what he thinks of the current set up.
-
Ian Austin has been all over the right wing press. Ken Clarke saying he won’t vote Tory hardly gets a mention in the same pages. Funny that.

Yet we had 4 top ten finishes under her ownership and despite being able to bail out at any time she still keeps a shareholding. Given the abuse she gets from some quarters I wonder why she bothers. None of us knows her or her motives so why just always assume the worst?

You seemed to be a very committed Brexiteer hence my comment about being desperate to leave. Happy to retract my comment and thank you for answering my question. As a remainer I wouldn’t want closer ties ( a united Europe) but have always thought we should have joined the Euro. I think a lot of people worry about closer ties and losing our identity but when you travel round Europe I don’t think you see that happening and I don’t think there is an appetite for it over the channel. For me I think that we aren’t going to get a better economic deal than the one we have with the 2nd biggest market on the planet and it makes perfect sense to be a part of a union on our doorstep rather than trade with people halfway round the world. We have all read the negativity about the EU over the years and it comes as no surprise that most of it is bull****. Yes, it isn’t perfect. Nothing is. What we end up with won’t be but I remember only too well the years we tried to get in and the positivity when it finally happened only to see my three children being desolated about leaving. They have enjoyed working abroad and are very pro the union. They have grown up with us as part of Europe and really don’t understand why people don’t want to be part of it. Sorry, I’m waffling on but I would love to have someone give me a reason to feel better about Brexit. Sadly the longer it drags on the more I feel we are making a huge mistake.

What would you do if someone trolled you for years? I have him on ignore but it isn’t that easy to ignore someone who constantly targets your posts. And no, I don’t enjoy it. I have been waiting for the mods to do something about it and to be fair to Lighthouse he finally did. Hopefully that will be enough to stop him carrying on with his vendetta.

It is a very serious question. You clearly feel very strongly about leaving and I would like to know why. I am debating the issue with you, not everyone else who voted leave. For a start it would not be practical. But I also would like to be able to understand why someone who is so adamant he is right bases his thought process on. So come on. Have the courage of your convictions and give me your reasons for wanting out. This is a golden opportunity to make your case. Go for it.

Says it all.

I really object to being lumped in with him. He has been stalking me for years despite my best efforts to shake him off. Even when he finally goes to far and rightly gets banned they let him back on. This place was a better site without him. It’s back to the usual stalking and trolling I guess.
-
And yet Nigel Farage has stated on several occasions that he would still be fighting to leave if the vote had been reversed and I am sure you would still be on here arguing for Brexit. This isn’t about the basics of democracy. It is about people fighting for what they believe is best for this country and the country is split down the middle. A reasonable way forward would appear to be some kind of soft Brexit but I doubt if you Brexiteers would be prepared to compromise.
-
Serious question Weston. Why are you so desperate to leave the EU?
-
For starters it was just supposed to be “advisory.” Big mistake. There should have been a stipulation that a meaningful majority (60/40 for example) was needed in order to leave. As we know now, the issues are far more complex than we were first led to believe. There could have been another provision for a second referendum at the time to ensure that the country had a final say in any deal struck by Parliament. We didn’t just join the EU, we joined with conditions. How do we expect to just leave? This has been a total cluster**** from the beginning and Johnson’s stupid phrase about get Brexit done really isn’t helping. It is going to take years to get it done in which time it will cost this country a fortune, but still the blinkered leavers think we can just walk away with no consequences.
-
On the plus side, that news detracted from Johnson’s launch of the Tory manifesto.
-
Have there ever been so many MPs standing down at an GE before?
-
She does have her knockers, but she also has plenty of support.
-
Drain the swamp? What about starting with the ditch where Boris is supposed to be lying in? If by draining the swamp you mean getting rid of the low life bottom feeders it really doesn’t help having one as a leader Duckie.
-
So you don’t think it is important for Tories to try and pick up votes from those in the centre of politics? You must be very confident that more people are moving to the right. Elections are won by picking up the floating voters. The Blairites don’t like Corbyn because they think he is too far to the left. The problem you will have is moving too far to the right for a lot of voters. I have voted for all three major parties over the years. By winning over people like me in numbers you win elections.
-
So then, lack of cleavage, blotchy skin above the lack of cleavage, she has her knockers but great things in front of her and we will have a world filled with rainbows and beauty if she becomes PM. I think TSW could teach the general media a thing or two about political commentary. Tomorrow will be looking at the Brexit Party and discussing the charms of Nigel Farage. The big question is, will his package excite the voters?
-
Apart from her breasts apparently. She held a press conference today. Any thoughts on the content?
-
Good news for you hardliners Wes but not for those who prefer a Tory Party that doesn’t lurch too far to the right.
-
Perhaps you would like to engage in the political debate instead of the personal digs? Do you think it is ok to objectify a political candidate by her breasts or do you think we should be talking about her and her party’s policies?
