  1. Just like "Puel will be gone by Christmas." How is that working out for you?
  2. Yep and who would have thought that given how crap you kept saying Pelle was at every opportunity.
  3. I was a big Prog rock fan back in the 70s. King Crimson, ELP, Yes and the Peter Gabriel era Genesis produced so much astonishing music. ELP were amazing musicians and incredible live. So sad that both Keith Emerson and Greg Lake have passed away this year but fitting that they have gone with so many other amazing talents. 2016 has seen so many leave us but these guys were strutting their stuff in the 60s and 70s more will follow as time goes on. What a legacy they leave behind though!
  4. I saw my first game with Campbell Forsyth in goal but later matches it was all Dave. RIP.
  5. Another musical legend from the 70s leaves us. He had a wonderful voice and was a great musician. RIP dude.
  6. Pah, just like Les Reed. No ambition! If you are going to encourage a chant, what is wrong with.... "We Want Lionel Messi."
  7. But they have. They offered him a pay rise, which he has apparently refused. Perhaps he wanted them to offer him an extension to his contract but given that he will soon be 33 do you really want the club to give big money to a player who may not feature in the first team so much in the next few years? If the club are prepared to let him go in January, don't you think that they have a contingency plan? You always seem to want to put the club down. Have they really done so badly over the last 7 years? He has been great for us but we have also been great for him. I really don't think Jose has been hard done by.
  8. But it does though. These things might have happened several years ago and different management is in place, but as with Saville, once you are associated with this stuff it isn't going to go away. It will tarnish the previous good name of the academy and the club. As for others using it against us you only have to look at the way the Munich Air Disaster and the hissing noises made towards Spuds fans to know that nothing is out of bounds. You can bet your life that it will be used against us and other clubs in involved by rival fans.
  9. There is a reason for that. It is only marginally less stupid than Sturridge's goal celebrations. Quality player though and a proper legend.
  10. We won deservedly against a team higher in the table than us. We turned over our former manager. We did it giving an academy player his debut (one our former manager didn't seem to know about) and he was MotM. Another academy player got a run out just to rub further salt into the wound. What is not to be happy about? Yet still the Usual Suspects carry on as if we have lost and are at the foot of the table. Go figure.
  11. Just one question, can anyone cite an example where booing has raised a teams/individuals performance and turned things round? I expect a number of us here have played football. Do you really think, if you are having a bit of a mare, that people getting on your back will make things better? If the crowd are truly the 12th man and are being overly negative, how does that help? Nothing wrong with feeling deflated and disappointed, but aging off the team you are there to support? Really, apart from making you feel better. how does that help improve the situation?
  12. Not sure what all of the bedwetting is all about. We have a good chance of going through and if Puel played that team against Everton and we got beat you imagine how the pitch fork brigade would react.
  13. Remind me again, what position do they play?
  14. I think he should just go and post in the Muppet Show section.

    No Plan B

Not sure how you come to that conclusion. It has been levelled at plenty of managers in the past, not just Pochettino.
  17. Batman in full I Wish We Could Be Like Manchester City mode.
  18. Bearsy is alive and well and still posts on Sotonians.
  19. Isnt it like dating a hottie though but then assuming she will leave you for someone like Brad Pitt next year so you start to think about finding a replacement before she goes? The bloke has recently signed a contract extension. We are playing well. It just seems odd to want to dwell on what might be months in advance when there is so much to enjoy right now. We are all going to die so lets have our wakes now and wallow in the finality of it all now rather than enjoy what we have.
  20. He is also **** to a Manc supporting friend of mine who thinks he has been a complete waste of money.
  21. I was on Saintslist too and used to spend far to much time on there and far too little masterminding sales strategies for The Guardian. Probably why they made me redundant. It would be quite scary to see how much time has been spent chuntering away on internet forums over the years. Someone told me Saintslist is still going?

    Ched Evans

The CPS deal with the cases that are brought to them by the police. The woman was clearly drunk according to the CCTV footage and evidence by others. She said that she had no recollection of what happened. It was clear that two men had sex with her. If she had no recollection of what happened then how could she have been in a position to consent? It was right for the CPS to bring the case court. The first jury found Evans of rape. Evans was originally denied an appeal. If the conviction had been so weak why would that be?

    Ched Evans

Your constant support of Evans does you no credit. Still I suppose it is just a usual night out for you navy boys isn't it? You don't strike me as someone who has children, but if you did would you be proud to have Evans as a son? How would you feel too if this had happened to your daughter?
