  1. We did sign a number of players who were pretty much finished by the time they came here.
  2. Quality player in his time. He Alan Ball and Colin Harvey were terrific in midfield for Everton.
  3. Tadic was playing with an injury which clearly affected his performance. Fit again and playing well again.

  5. Normally I would have preferred this to have happened to another club, but it was worth it to pr ick that pompous tw*t Souness's bubble.
  6. I remember being told that Rory Delap looked a genius in training and could go past people with the ball for fun and to be fair to him he went on to have a long career than we did in the Premiership. Alan McClaughlin (however you spell his name) was one of the worst for me. Our first £1m signing as I recall and very poor for us, Best ever must have been Kevin Keegan. Twice European Player of the Year signs for Saints - and not for massive money either. My dad phoned me up at work to tell me. Amazing.

  10. I blame the boots.
  11. Looks to me like he tried to swerve out of the kids way. I cant wait for him to become leader of the Tory Party. With Corbyn and him duking it out politics will gain some long lost character at last.

Good post. I still fail to see what those who call him Wreck It Ralph think that he has wrecked. The club is stable and well run. We are a decent Premiership outfit. All of the people running the club deserve credit for that.

  16. I am old enough to remember when you used to get an acknowledgement if you applied for a job. Now, nothing. An acknowledgement would have been nice but at least he got a refund and I hope he is ok?
  17. I see Brian Kidd is still sitting on the bench as Sammy does. I am sure the club find more for them to do than BBC.

When I was out in Seattle I took my girlfriends kids to the park for an hour (one boy and one girl). I expected them to take an American football with them but they took a "proper" football and we had a great kick around. I spoke to my gf about it and she said they both loved football and played it at school. If they can get the TV sorted out you can see the game really taking off there - but it is taking an age and the likes of Pele and Beckham don't seem to have had much of an effect. I am surprised that Murdoch hasn't pushed it more there.

Thankfully you would never be owner in the first place, now get back to spouting b*ll*x on the What is Wrong With America thread where you belong.
  21. Not surprised. He is obviously highly regarded in the England set up. Good luck to him. Although once he gets a full cap wait for the wailing and gnashing of teeth once the big clubs start sniffing round...

  23. A bit frustrating when we send players out on loan to get games and experience and they end up sitting on the bench - but you cant blame the managers for not playing them if they aren't providing the goods.
  24. So you think he is lying then?
