I am not sure that he is a genius but he clearly is a decent manager. Not that you would know it looking at some of the comments on the match thread. If he chose a team for Saturday with an eye to giving us our best chance against Liverpool I don't have a problem with that.

I am not saying this is the case, but if Ron sees the Liverpool match as being more important, and we win, would you be happy?

I don't know what his thinking is and I don't know what the situation with the players is. I also think that the manager can only do so much and once the players cross that line they need to take responsibility for their performance. Yoshida has plenty of support on here for example. Why? One minute we have the best squad in depth ever but we lose a match and then we don't. If resting Cedric and giving Tadic a half means that we have a better chance of beating Liverpool I am happy with that.

We are a mid table side who have gone until the end of November with an unbeaten away record. We lose at City. I assume that Ron has an eye on a big match on Wednesday. If that is where his priority is and we beat Liverpool is that such a bad thing?
