    Yoshida

The mistakes he makes have little to do with the need to protection though. I don't know what he was trying to do for the first goal on Saturday and as has been said where the hell was he for the third? His back pass against United was also down to his poor concentration. He shouldn't be starting.
  2. I am not sure that he is a genius but he clearly is a decent manager. Not that you would know it looking at some of the comments on the match thread. If he chose a team for Saturday with an eye to giving us our best chance against Liverpool I don't have a problem with that.
  3. I am not saying this is the case, but if Ron sees the Liverpool match as being more important, and we win, would you be happy?
  4. I don't know what his thinking is and I don't know what the situation with the players is. I also think that the manager can only do so much and once the players cross that line they need to take responsibility for their performance. Yoshida has plenty of support on here for example. Why? One minute we have the best squad in depth ever but we lose a match and then we don't. If resting Cedric and giving Tadic a half means that we have a better chance of beating Liverpool I am happy with that.
  5. We are a mid table side who have gone until the end of November with an unbeaten away record. We lose at City. I assume that Ron has an eye on a big match on Wednesday. If that is where his priority is and we beat Liverpool is that such a bad thing?

  10. Makes you wonder why clubs bother with managers at all.
  11. Good to see that gunboat diplomacy is still alive and well in the 21st century. Mind you Vlad looks like a man itching for a fight and he is not too bothered with whom. We need to keep this guy onside. F**k knows what the Turks were thinking.
  12. I couldn't agree more. I note that they keep trying to mention NATO but I don't see the USA rushing to get involved. If the plane was in Turkish airspace for 17 secs how did Turkey manage to issue 10 separate warnings in that time? As you say, let them sort it out with Putin,

  14. Summary justice dispensed on the street. You cant hear the instructions but agree that he doesn't appear to be posing a threat at the point he is shot. Once shot and down why then fill him with more holes? It seems to be the Wild West mentality. They don't seem bothered about incapacitating the victim. No middle ground. Just take him out. Full stop.

  18. This was a different poll Whelk, commissioned after the Charlie Hebdo massacre.
  19. You could well be right Whelk. They cant lose. The headline panders to the readers they are after the any "outrage" will only give them more publicity. It is a well oiled machine.
  20. Oh dear. Do you really believe that it has to be one or the other? It is entirely possible that it can affect people in different ways. As an earlier posted said, many will buy into the headline at face value. You really need to stop trying to score points and engage your brain a little more mate.
  21. Glad to hear that people are reacting to The Sun's headline. Perhaps they (they being The Sun's Editorial team) will start to realise that people aren't as stupid as they think they are and are not going to put up with their BS.
  22. Some confusion about whether it was in Turkey's air space or not.
  23. To be fair to Long it was cold and windy on Saturday, bless his little cotton socks.
  24. It is worth reading the comments in The Guardian before getting in a tiz about this. I also love the bit on the left about Charles blaming Climate Change on the rise of IS and global terrorism.
