  1. So as one of the take back control crowd it doesn’t bother you that the man you are going to vote for as PM is in Putin’s back pocket (and Trump’s top pocket)?
  2. Why doesn’t that surprise me?
  3. This is what happens when you cross a narcissist. There is no “special relationship” unless you treat them as special 24/7. As soon as Starmer stood up and told him that the tariffs were wrong yesterday that was it. He won’t be a happy bunny again until he gets his own way and we back down. This is what happens when you give too much power to an unhinged megalomaniac. Putin and Xi will be loving this. I don’t agree with Batman. I don’t think we will back down over Greenland although I expect some deal will be struck to make it look like the spoilt brat has “won.” Watch him threaten to pull the plug on Ukraine next.
  4. There is something doing the rounds that says that Ukraine and the French have been feeding the US with false intel to see if it is being leaked to Putin.
  5. Of course the Russians will be delighted if the US take Greenland. Anything that weakens the NATO alliance and the EU is a plus for them. Brexit was a start, this is the cherry on the cake if it happens.
  6. There doesn’t seem to be any certainty about where the money will end up. Cheques made payable to Donald J Trump perhaps?
  7. Whilst on a musical theme - My Shania Law?
  8. Playing devil’s advocate, isn’t it possible that he was being honest but when they couldn’t get the person they wanted and following his good start, the situation changed?
  9. I am curious to know what the forum Reform UK supporters think of the party’s links with Russia?
  10. Perhaps someone needs to point out to Trump that the US agreed that Greenland was owned by Denmark in 1916. https://www.diis.dk/en/research/why-is-greenland-part-of-the-kingdom-of-denmark-a-short-history
  11. Trump has now apparently offered Putin a place on Gaza’s Board of Peace. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2026/jan/19/kremlin-says-putin-invited-join-trump-gaza-board-of-peace 🤪
  12. Indeed. Keir Starmer has just given a very statesmanlike, grown up response from Downing Street. How this translates to negotiations with Batshit crazy Trump goodness only knows.
  13. Trump seems to be going full tonto now. Maybe the men in white coats will be coming to take him away soon.
  14. There are numerous actions that Europe could take if Trump continues to act like a spoilt child who wants more candy. Deny the US airspace. Add their own tariffs. If they refuse to leave the bases, how long will they continue to operate with no assistance and support from the countries they are in and no airspace? Trump only understands threats. He thinks Europe is weak. Play him at his own game instead of kissing his flabby orange arse and we might make some decent progress. Macron has clearly had enough. More need to follow his lead.
  15. Farage used to believe that there should be a by-election if someone switched parties. Strange that he has changed his mind when it works in his favour. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-39398054.amp
  16. Someone help me please. I hear a lot about playing 5 at the back but if you have 3 CBs and 2 wing halves, surely that is 3 at the back? 4 across the back, 2 CBs and 2 FBs gives you more defensive strength doesn’t it, assuming that the wing halves play further up the pitch? Asking for a friend (TE).
  17. He did say “a well known Labour figure” so who knows what he means by that?
  18. Thanks for the name check! No excitement GS. I just naturally assume that anyone who affiliates with Reform doesn’t have a problem with him. Birds of a feather… Never heard of him before but he seems to have a dodgy record of playing the system so he will fit right in as you say. Farage is trying to sell his party as an alternative to the “corrupt” and “broken” major parties. In truth he is building a party that would be worse than the two combined. How long before Braverman jumps on board?
  19. According to my in depth research the US currently has 67,515 military personal deployed amongst some 40 bases from the NW of Greenland to Turkey’s border with Russia. These bases are situated in Germany, Italy, UK, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Romania. They have many strategic air bases spread across Europe. The largest US base in the UK, RAF Lakenheath, hosts the US’s 48th fighter wing. I am surprise that his group of advisors haven’t warned Trump that he shouldn’t piss of his European allies as they rely on their bases abroad strategically. Perhaps they did and he ignored them? Perhaps they are as dumb as him? I expect that our friends in Europe will despatch the Trump Whisperer, Keir Starmer, to remind him that threatening the very allies that he relies upon for his position of strength outside of his own borders is not a good idea. To state the obvious, it isn’t wise for the POTUS to reduce the defence of his country to the Pacific and Atlantic coasts and its land borders. We have cards too Donald.
  20. As the first person to use AI on here perhaps this comment is a tad hypocritical?
