Hasn't that option to buy clause been bought out by AM now? I thought we were back to square one and he is currently a Madrid player again?
  2. They should also only sell tickets when the major attractions are announced. Well out of order expecting people to pay over £200 for a ticket when you have no idea who is on the bill.
  3. Someone lent me The Yes Album, must have been in 1970. From the first note of Yours Is No Disgrace I was hooked. A group of very gifted musicians, fantastic music and great ensemble playing. The growling Rickenbacker was a big feature. Agree that it went downhill when the Buggles joined but they continued to make good music after that. No one lives for ever and it is very sad when your musical heroes pass away. Chris Squire will live on through his music.
  4. Manchester United continued after losing the likes of Eric Cantona and Bryan Robson. It is not who goes but who replaces them. If you keep replacing quality with quality you should continue to do well.
  5. Hi Throbber, Relayer was a great album. My first Yes gig was back in 1972 when Close to the Edge came out and have seen them many times since. That line up was probably their best and it is sad that Squire and Anderson fell out in recent years and that Yes went on with a singer from a Yes tribute band. Still, we have those memories!
  6. Those of a certain age who were into Prog Rock in the 70s will, I am sure, be sad to hear that Chris Squire the bassist with Yes has passed away at the young age of 67. Along with John Entwhistle he was one of the best bass players on the rock scene and did wonders for the sale of Rickenbacker basses I'm sure. RIP Chris.
  7. Saw this on another site... Last year handguns killed this amount of people in each country - 48 Japan 8 Great Britain 34 Switzerland 52 Canada 58 Israel 21 Sweden 42 Germany and 10,728 USA God Bless America
  8. Not Charlie's aunt then?
  9. If that was the case wouldn't players leaving the top 4 cause them to weaken too?
  10. We sold Shaw and brought in Bertrand who was as good, if not better. If we bring in players who as good if not better and players who don't want to be here move on, that has to be good surely?
  11. I think you are probably right!

  13. We talk about squad players as if they are just there to fill a gap. Squad players now are a vital part of the team. I am sure Ron wouldn't be interested in keeping him if he just saw him as a plug.
  14. Why is it when three or four players leave other clubs it isn't a meltdown? Players come and go all the time. Its just business.
  15. Well with 27 full international caps he clearly is no donkey. If he does sign perhaps the management team can coax the best out of him. Some players take time to adjust to the EPL.

  17. Not sure that his is or will be world class as he is not a guaranteed starter for his country yet, but he certainly is quality.

  21. Do we ever really know what we get or pay for a player? Figures are bandied about all the time but I doubt if that many are bang on the mark.
  22. If Clyne doesn't want to be here, and lets face it, he has been hedging his bets for weeks, why would you want to keep him? Good as he is he isn't consistent yet and could be another Lovren for Liverpool. I'd rather have a squad that want to be here and are committed.
