Two things ; re sell on clause buy out , I think Saints were desperate for cash so a few £M was good at the time. Who was predicting the progress Bale would make , nor 'array!Re players moving to 'big' clubs , It seems that players are looking to make THE move that will secure them financially for life , they don't necessarily do well at the 'big' club but have made it !

Some on here have pointed out Clyne's decline in form at the end of the season , probably since all the contract talk started . Jones wasn't the answer though !

Austin looks a better goal scorer than Ings (going by Motd) and also runs around a bit , his shots seem more considered than Pelle's , apart from his Stoke goal which wasn't a flick or wild slash for once !

The problem seems to be the same when I was at school in the 70s , once you are in the first team you are unlikely to be dropped regardless of performance . I'm not sure getting into europe champs league is any good unless you can put out two first teams . I know when I knew I was leaving work and stayed on for an extra 3 months (as requested) that my head was not there anymore and was a bit of a liability . If Morgan and Clyne think they are getting big money moves then I suspect they will be taking it easy until the end of the season. I'm sure Ron would put another striker up front if they weren't injured etc , let's all hope we break the goal drought soon or every Sat will be depressing !

Times have changed , "Big teams" now come to St Marys and park the bus ! Last season we had even worse Arsenalitis ie 70% possession and wanting to walk the ball into the net. We would all like someone to actually SHOOT at the goal .
