Too loose at the back someone needs to nobble at least one of their forwards. I had hoped that Long, Austin and Mané up front would cause problems but it's just not happening - every time one of these three gets the ball they are closed down and shut out by at least two players. Ron needs to get a grip of these players and shake them out of the funk they are in

Bring him on when/if the game is won and not before. Long/Austin up front is very dangerous and I think that should be the first choice. Mane running off them would be good but not essential. Other than that the team need to bounce back from a poor ref in the Chelsea game and keep grinding out the results. I don't think Bournemouth have enough in the tank to keep us out.

Tbh over the course this season, taking 3 points from Chelsea will do. They're on a run, and we never play well after a break. I just hope that this break hasn't disrupted our momentum. Getting very tired of refs who do not manage the game consistently.

The Cherries just don't really seem to be rivals to me. I suppose they should be since they are geographically close but I just view them as rivals on the same level as other teams currently in the PL - a team to be beaten. I suppose this stems from growing up - Bournemouth never really figured as a rival team. In fact I don't recall us playing them that much in any competition.

I was going to say- unless Wallaces agent was on a stupid fee, it still doesn't fully explain such a hefty figure. And I shall echo others thoughts- if they really have spent that much on fees while getting players in (most of whom are on LOAN don't forget) and they don't achieve promotion this year........ Just....wow! If there was ever an example of mismanagement that would be it. I mean they've been providing wonderful examples of how not to manage a football club up until now, but this really would be a definitive show of incompetence which it would be hard to beat

I guess what amazes me the most is that they really should be capable of winning this league but they just don't seem to be able to construct a squad of players to do it comfortably. I question what resources they actually have - most of the players they are getting in are loans rather than buys.

Let's be honest though for a moment- that's a pretty sad decision to be forced to take for any fan of any club. And purely down to the behaviour of fellow fans. Have to say that I also agree with the sentiment of that sensible POL poster- the 'bestest' carping on about how 'best' they are really is very tiring when a moments analysis proves that they don't particularly attend any more than any other fan of any other club
