Yep, he isn't anything special but he's a focal point. Someone you can go long to when you're under the cosh or someone who can link play on the counter attack. And he's a threat from set pieces. I said at the time the club did well to move Armstrong on for a decent enough fee and get this guy in on loan.

Who do you start him ahead of though? Downes is playing well again and as the last game and a half has proved, Charles is our best midfielder. I suppose he might have a chance soon when Downes gets suspended for 2 games.

I don't think you can blame SR for buying Fellows. One of the best players in the league last season. For one reason or another he obviously hasn't hit those heights here yet.

Yeah I get the Stewart one completely and we've got a decent enough back up for him now so no problem there. Was more thinking of the Charles change as that sub really seemed to affect us.

He started his career as a winger. I'd imagine the reason he turned into a full back was due to a lack of pace. So whilst he's decent with the ball going forward, you're right. He has no idea how to defend. We can probably get away with it against the likes of Charlton etc but he makes way too many defensive errors against any half decent side.
