Ignoring the Pompey connections, O'Neil would be a bit meh if it happened. Could they appoint worse? Definitely but his track record in the Premier League is pretty poor. I'm not that bothered about the fact he played for Pompey but a lot would be, which would make his job even harder.

I've heard that Spors rates Eckert very highly as a coach. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he got it. A good coach doesn't make a good manager, though..

The biggest difference last night was that we were clinical for a change. In fact I'd say with the ball it was probably one of the worst performances of the season but we did defend well when it mattered.
