I think we'd need new owners if we want to succeed at all in the premier league. I just don't think Dragan has the financial power to be able to compete at all. I certainly can't see us doing what Sunderland have done.

I feel for Wood. I thought he'd be a crap signing for us but tbh he wasn't that bad when he played last season in the Prem and has probably been our best CB so far this but finds himself on the bench. On current form he's a better option than both THB and Stephens.

I think he needs a bit more time but things needs to improve pretty quickly. It may be a different answer come the next international break. If we were playing well and being unlucky then I'd sympathise a bit more but we just don't look very good at the moment and arguably performances are getting worse. Having said that and as others have mentioned, Still certainly isn't biggest issue at this football club.

THB passed the ball straight to the Hull player today and Stephens does it on numerous occasions. Maybe we need to stop thinking about players who are supposedly great on the ball and start thinking about actual defending.

He's behind them because he supposedly can't pass the ball. The thing is neither can THB or Stephens. All I see them doing is passing it straight to the opposition. Quarshie needs a proper chance and I wouldn't be adversed to playing him next to Wood for a few games. Two players who will win headers and put themselves on the line.

I'm done with THB after that - get him out of the team. Manning and Stephens are both crap as well but we already knew that. It really is mind boggling how we didn't sign a keeper and a proper CF in the last window. It looks like two more losses coming up this week. If we then lose to Sheff Utd surely that will be it for Still.

I think the club expected Downs to come in and be our starting striker but he's clearly not ready. Another fuck up in the CF position.

Not sure why you thought the game on Sunday would be easy. If you look at the games so far Pompey have been hard to beat and have only conceded 3 goals. Yes we didn't have anything about us but that was always going to be a tough game.

If anything Bazunu surprised me with how well he commanded his box. He definitely seems a bit more confident this season.

Yeah I think Juric probably pulled him up on his attitude and he didn't like it. He's only ever been a system player but under Martin he seemed well up for every game. Since his bestie left I've seen very little commitment at all.

I said I'd give him 10 games until I've made a judgement and I stand by that. That'll be up until the next international break and I'd certainly expect to see a big improvement by then. Today was very poor but probably not an ideal first game after the transfer window closed. A full week of training with the whole squad coming up. No excuses now.

Bazunu; Roerslev, THB, Stephens, Jelert; Charles, Jander; Fellows, Azaz, Scienza; Archer. Need to get the new signings up to speed and playing together asap. Jelert is supposedly pretty quick and we really lacked any attacking intent from our full backs today. So I'd give him a go over Manning (his crossing was diabolical today). Still might be tempted to go with Stewart but he just doesn't do it for me. Not too sure what it is but he just doesn't seem a threat what so ever.

I'd stick with Archer but get us playing more to his strengths. Need to get him in behind more often like when he went round the keeper.

He always gets a yellow because he's constantly a yard or two behind the play. As I've said before he's only good in a side that has the ball 80% of the time. Charles is the much better all round player.

About time. He drew 3 fouls from their right back in less than 10 minutes.

He was, but I'm not talking about his defending as such. He gave the ball away a ridiculous amount of times.

I like Roerslev, but if you think he was one of our better players today then you must be blind.

Downes and Roerslev were abysmal. Time for Flynn to be dropped. Fellows did ok but Azaz was anonymous. Concerning performance.

Azaz has been a passenger. Both fullbacks very poor. Downes hopeless. Feel for Archer. Need control of the midfield and more passing options for the fullbacks. I'd get Jander on for Azaz and Stewart for Archer if we are going to continue with long balls.

Ipswich just getting going too. I still think they will end up winning the league.

Also is inevitable he'll be sacked shortly before we play them.

My Sheffield United supporting mate says it's absolutely dreadful stuff under Selles. Lots of running off the ball but nothing else good at all. Sums him up really.

There's no way we should be playing 5 at the back against anyone in this league at home, let alone Portsmouth.
