Exactly this. You want your best player playing as long as he can, every game. Playing Stewart 3 times in a week was madness given his injury record but Scienza is not Stewart. It seems crazy to me that we have to sub our best player after 60 minutes every week.

Bazunu is just part of the collective. He's way below average along with the majority of the defence. That along with decent but inconsistent forwards (barring Scienza) probably evens itself out into an average team. You look at that bench today and think who the **** is going to come on and change anything. The squad is large but still filled with dross.

Yet we've got Matsuki and Edozie sitting on their arses. Not saying they are world beaters by any stretch but surely worth a punt on the bench.

Quick turnaround for this one and despite them being in even worse form than us I can only see a home win. McCarthy, Jelert, Wood, THB, Wellington, Downes, Jander, Scienza, Azaz, Fellows, Armstrong. (4-2-3-1) Changes needed at the back and a change of formation (neither will happen sadly). Front 3 were terrible today but a real lack of alternatives. Maybe pushing Fellows up would help things.

Doesn't help when you're constantly outnumbered in the middle of the park. No one will ever be able to convince me having 3 CB's is a good formation for a team looking to get promoted.

How is Manning still getting game time. Honestly he is pathetic. Front 3 miles off it so far. Again feels like 3 CB's aren't needed today.

I'm now thinking a new left back is very much needed in January. Welington seems very hit and miss and Manning well lets not even go there. We just can't keep letting this amount of crosses in from our left side. Our CB's aren't very good at dealing with it so at least try and stop the supply.

If he's fit he's got to be in the bench. As you say, end product is quite poor but did contribute some goals and assists last time round in the championship. Much rather have him on the bench than Aribo.

No way can you put Downs and Quarshie in the same bracket. Despite Quarshie being poor on the ball he's good at other things. Cost about £4m less as well. I've not seen one thing that Downs is good at yet.

Agree. Downes does a reasonable job off the ball Infront of the back 4 but on the ball he's very limited.

If we don't look to sign a keeper or a CF then we are basically giving up this season. Imagine how many assists Fellows and Scienza would have if we had a proper striker we could at least bring off the bench.

I would've taken a point before the game and at half time, so not overly disappointed. Looking at the next 3 games over the festive period. Oxford - second bottom and a game we have to be winning. Birmingham - in terrible form and a game we should be winning. Millwall - up there but have struggled away from home recently, so should be looking to get 3 points. 9 points please.
