Tbf Arsenal have eased off but Sheff Utd players are still giving it their all, they are just lack any quality what so ever. With our 9-0's the players basically gave up.

I'm less bothered about the second goal but the first and third were appalling from Manning. If he is truly being asked to play that close to Bednarek when the opposition have the ball then what the hell is Martin thinking? It is costing us goals left right and centre. He is one of the worst 1 v 1 defenders I've ever seen, just so, so easy to go past.

Indeed. His hold up play and passing in the main was really good (a couple of poor moments granted). I'm glad he's putting to bed the ridiculous mantra that he only performs during the transfer windows.

Sunderland are an absolute mess at the moment. Fans really disgruntled and all of a sudden they are nowhere near the play offs. Preston are in better form but other than their win against Coventry last week aren't great away from home. As you say, anything other than 6 points is a big failure.

Another big week with Preston up first. Will be interesting to see how they set up. Teams have caused us problems when their press has been right but Millwall played a low block and we struggled with that too. What we thinking, Bree in for Manning and hope KWP is back on the right? Aribo in for Stu possibly as we know he struggles with 3 game weeks.

We played the ball into Adams feet a lot more today and it worked. You can't do that though if you play AA or Mara up top as they are too weak.

We actually played really well in general. The fact they scored 3 goals from 3 shots on target is a travesty really. Just piss poor defending.

The way he got done for that third goal was embarrassing. You wouldn't see that level of 'defending' in the Southampton Football League.

Great win in the end but the defence is a shambles. Mainly Manning and altering THB position to fit Stephens in.

I hope Bree plays ahead of Stephens at RB. Thought he looked really good last night considering it was his first game in 2 months.

He did what any decent manager would do and noticed there were problems with their press in the first half. He changed it at half time and dominated the second half whilst we ran out of steam.

Providing KWP is out. Bazunu; Bree, THB, Bednarek, Manning; Downes, Aribo, Stu; Edozie, Brooks/Arma, Adams.

It doesn't bother me that his passing isn't the best. If you've got two ball playing CB's and two other good passes in midfield next to him then it's not the end of the world. Certainly better than having 3 passers in there but none of them can tackle... Which is what you get when Smallbone plays there. No defensive protection what so ever.

I actually thought Rothwell was a lot better tonight and looked good alongside Aribo and Charles. You're right though, he just looks unfit.

Agree with this. Subs were all wrong. Although Sulemena and Edozie have such poor end product they were by far our most dangerous players. Just don't get how Mara stayed on the whole game.

Adam Armstrong does not look anything like a player that has that many goals this season. What's happened to him?
