Even Pompey cant cheer us up like they usually do
-
I always was concerned that the new saviours after Gao were emperors new clothes, sadly my worries have come to pass
-
Have they lost 3 since his education
-
I dont know how hes know as I doubt he ever leaves Greggs
-
Im not watching the game and so reading the reports on here can be dangerous, but why oh why does he not put TP on. IMO his vanity project is more important to him than our survival. He can move on and enjoy his wealth whilst we have to endure a torrid future
-
If it is Drury as the commentator he will scream 'Martin' as the ball limply rolls along the ground
-
Lets get the Bournemouth recruitment team, money well spent as they seem to get a lot right, be it players or managers
-
Unfortunately vanity will stop this happening. Not only in attacking situations is his height helpful, defending corners and free kicks his height will also be a help. It is infuriating that RM seems determined not to give it a go. I understand his principles and thats all well and good but he is leaving about £50-60 million on the bench or sitting at home on 3 players that he hasnt really given a proper chance. Perhaps if they by mistake put Stephens on the back of their shirts he may play them ( i hasten to add that Im not anti Jack, just using him as an example)
-
I so want him to succeed but I do worry his vanity is more important to him than us. Pep saying such lovely things about his game can only make him more certain his way is the correct way. Im happy for him to play his way but pleeeeeeeeeease sometimes let the players express themselves a bit more and get the ball into the box earlier or shoot
-
Ron Davies wouldn't be picked by RM as Paine would not be allowed to cross a high ball, the same with RIckie. Tall Paul needs to be fed and then we can see if he can cut it. Its infuriating to have an asset (not just high ballsas he can hold the ball up) and not using it.
-
Usual entertaining fayre. Would be nice to have a little bit of niggle between them as they all agree. Need a bit of rival opinions to liven it up a bit lol. Very gentlemanly and very accommodating like Saints defence at a set play.

Been a while since last "where are they now (posters)" thread?

I saw a message from Cabbage face on Total saints podcast in the comments lastnight -
Perhaps if the numbskull who puts him on for 5 minutes would allow the odd cross into the box we may see a better return. Wood would not score for us as by the time the ball comes in it doesn't make the centre of the box and is cleared as it is against RM principles to hang crosses in the the 2 dwarfs we have up front. Im still an advocate of AA and CA on each side with TP in the middle. The 2 on the wings can still help with midfield duties while TP occupies their defenders. If we try a high ball down the middle either of our current forwards cant compete, it is unfair to expect them to. I still go back to when he came on against Leicester, their defenders who were running around smoking cigars were all of a sudden in a right mess as he was strong and able to hold the ball up.

We used to be such a great day out for away fans where their teams could gain a lift from the large area of support behind the goal. Whilst the away fans can make a noise it goes across one side of the pitch not the length. For me it was wonderful seeing the Northams limbs when we scored and whilst i took a video it was 20 seconds after the real celebrations and so a lot had subsided. It can only go on to inspire the team in future games and may make a bit of difference

Thought it was 2 poor teams. Everton unbeaten in 5 points to how poor a lot of the teams in the PL are. KWP , and Dibling were doing well on the right and causing problems. RM then took off Manning and moved KWP across to the left, meaning the balance was disrupted and it took time for us to adjust. It seems too often we make 1 sub and the team is then shifted around, rather a player for a player. Ramsdales save fantastic, a little lucky when he was in no-man's-land and Harrison nearly clipped it in. Dyche said that possession means little, as we didnt cause any problems apart from the goal, and with less they created most of the chances Pickford not called upon at all. Aribo did well when he came on and helped our midfield. First half it was difficult to tell what the formation was with Downes being pushed out to the wing and Jack in the middle. Anyway a win was fantastic and the Northam did brilliantly getting the crowd going.
-
Saturday proved that the naysayers were wrong and having a proper end does make a difference. The Northam did us proud and there was a different feel. The away fans were nullified, imagine if they still had half the Northam how different the atmosphere would have been.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

that is a surprise re the house builders. Would have thought they would be good. I can only assume they feel that inflation and mortgages are on the way up . That is a shame, Im not partisan as I want us all to do well, but if the markets are not reacting well! As for some not worrying too much about the fall of the pound, remember that commodities are bought with the dollar and so fuel etc will go up, adding to infltion. -
As I was around during LM reign it was fortunate there was not a social media in those days. The club kept him and it bore fruit for us to enjoy the best days being s Saints fan. Had the club buckled in his first season we may well have been hanging around the lower leagues year on year like our friends down the road. Im unsure whether RM is the correct man butI dont trust SR to get a good appointment in his place. I assume soon people will be looking at the Aberdeen manager. Amazing job hes done

I feel employers will see this as a wage rise. I know nasty bosses get little shrift from people as of course they are making profits out of the workers endeavour, but they have to provide the profits to keep the workers in jobs and also live themselves. Either way we will all pay as of course the rise in NI will be passed on by higher prices. I doubt many will just swallow the rise and not pass it on. So 'workers' will have an indirect tax on them. Anyway, the media for weeks have been scaring the consumers about the terrible taxes and now hopefully that can wane and people focus again on a different thing. -

At least we can get on with our lives now. Hopefully people will now start spending. It was not as bad as it could have been and so good on Reeves for that. Quite often the bad bits are in the small print and slide out later. Anyway Im happy as no budget helps me financially always a victim. Its going to be fun to get my free pint of beer with the 1p off, only 700 pints to go -
If you notice it says flicked on OR held up. Im not advocating just long ball, but AR is playing long with Archer up front by himself. Utilise what assets we have and so using TP's strength and advantage of height to our advantage. Only this weekend we saw other teams using their tall forwards
-
If it stays 1-0 it is a result we would have all grabbed before the game
-
TP will really give them something to think about. Sadly as a disciple of Pep, RM will not want to look as though he plays a bit long ball at times. Of course Pep does when hes losing right at the end

By the grace of god. It is respectful
