its a rumours thread with most of it being complete nonsense, there is now a thread on the lounge re 60/70's totty and so the 2 of you can talk about players who have no idea who we are let alone joining us.
-
add to that some of the best football around, competitive leagues. Sky could big up Bolton V Macclesfield, they need the PL to be seen as the best in the world. Very rarely did the games on TV last season have me wanting more, in fact I turned a lot of them off
-
sadly now she looks like shes in her 80's, been under the knife too many times. As for transfer gossip ................sums it up
-
there is no doubt we could have beaten top teams in the cup, but also lesser teams could beat us, that is the beauty of the FA cup. Of course many believe we should have played our best side to get the best chance. Fair but when do the squad players get their games in to stay match fit? It is a problem. If you are safe then perhaps you can play weakened sides in the league, but when are you safe with such a thin squad as ours?
-
think back Whitey, St Bobby
-
I remember how Man u put out their best side in a Cup Final, they must have won. The theory that you get a safe mid-table position and win cup finals is great by me. To actually believe we would have got through all the games with the so called first 11 still takes a leap of faith...it is Saints we are talking about.
-
the scary thing is that at present that is the backbone of our squad, adding in the 2 new players and taking out the 3 who have left. Dont panic we are told!!!
-
tell that to the players who didnt seem to care at Sunderland, they were lack lustre at best
-
That is a poor pic of Julie Christie
-
The PL needs the fans to create the atmosphere, when the crowds dwindle the attraction to overseas viewers will wain IMO
-
Don't forget Julie Christie
-
How many more signings do you think we'll make ?
OldNick replied to Saints boy in Leeds's topic in The Saints
It seems we have to be patient, I would rather we had the signings in, but you do realise that the season will start and we will be told on here that don't panic the window doesn't shut for a few weeks etc etc -
It is arrogance of a football fan that we believe that not only would we have rolled over Sunderland in their home patch but gone to Hull and did the same etc etc. I agree we may have created more, who was missing . JRod and Boruc spring to mind not sure if Morgan as well. Following saints I have got used to not great expectations. I would concede that the draw opened up, but you can't guarantee we would have got through. A question, in the draw would our number on the ball been the same as Sunderlands had we won? If not the draw we would have had may have drawn us Arsenal

Bloody hell OSm has come back as. Mr Nasty and sarcastic.
-
if Lambert had not missed for 2yards and Al not also missed a sitter we may have got our wish. That's football, we should have beaten Sunderland but failed to take our chances and they scored with a superb strike
-
never stopped me or many others lol
-
when you have been on here for a long time and you havent posted perhaps people will be concerned enough about you KPT. As we at it, how is OOh Terry Hurlock he also has not posted for a while and a great lad
-
Kp i always respect your posts but on this occasion we will have to beg to differ....but Iam right;)
-
but patently our valuation will be eroded as Lovrens position is close ot being untenable. The fans will take a lot to win over let alone the squad with his no train antics. It does not matter what he cost, it is what we could have got for him. Obviously you believe our valuation of him has not been reduced due to his antics, i myself believe our expectations of a fee will be downgraded. We do not hold the aces any longer Our ability to pretend we dont need to sell has been blown out of the water,
-
but apart from that what has Dubai Phil done for us?
-
Havent seen him post for a while. Hope he's ok
-
if Lovren had said he was happy to stay, Liverpool would have to approach and saints could say 'no he's happy, but thank-you. if you want to offer a mega price we might consider' Rather than 'my head is in Liverpool' If you wish not to accept the 2 different situations, and do not believe that our bargaining position has not been affected i will have to accept that. i do hope today i meet some people with the same mindset and will have a good day purchasing.
-
2 players going to Liverpool both giving negative comments in the media. You are in the cynical world of football agents and clubs use different means to unsettle or get a player to move. We are talking about big business and their interest in getting the price down. The palyers get their cut by the massive wage hike in moving club, with all that it entails.

supporting Saints for 60 years is bound to make you depressive! I remember when I was 8 and no club would be better, no player would be better than the ones who pulled on our shirt. After see us lose 8-0, 7-0 7-1 and many more disasters I eventually lost my more optimistic notions. i now expect the worst and most of the time am not disappointed
