IMO it is ok if they just stay up. Going into the conference would see an uplift in their win ratio and the crowds would turn up. Add to that they would be able to boost about their Championship wins. Let them languish around the bottom of L2 for a couple of seasons and they will soon see their crowds become in the 5k region. 12k last night was pretty good considering there was footy on the Tv. I think their crowds are impressive even though there are cheap tickets etc, the fans get off their bottoms and at least go, fair play to them

The difference between a couple of years ago and getting players to drop their wage demands is that they were very wealth footballers who losing 50-100k is not terminal, the players now losing 10k would be a big thing and so might not walk away quietly

yes we could have won the cup, yes I would have played what is perceived my first fit 11. If we had taken our chances we would have had a replay. Would we have beaten Hull, probably over 2 games. Would we have had the same draw? Im not sure how they do the numbers and whether we would have had the same in the draw as Sunderland and Hull I dont know
-
Yep he bottled out and played a stifling side, he brought on Tessem instead of Kevin Davies. Also recall the qtr final the following season when we lost at Bolton, a poor performance

the HNW's will have a lot less that's for sure

He probably had his sunglasses in his other hand -
superb reply to a fellow poster did it take long for you to come up with that?
-
So you didn't go , funny that. It was ohh so important that you couldn't be bothered. I don't need to flail when you provide such ripe material. I will leave this thread now as Iam sure everybody is bored of the cat fighting and Sunderland is now a distant memory. We won away yesterday and so I am happy with that, I expect this place will go into meltdown as Sunderland win at Hull and get Sheffield Utd I the semis as for Sour. Mash about the turnout, I have never questioned our away support, they are superb every time
-
it was the biggest game of the season apparently , so we must have sold our full allocation and more with the ticket touts having a field day.
-
the biggest game of the season, your words, did you get off your sorry a### and go ? Thought not
-
It is good to know that when we go away that we have a chance of getting a decent result. Winning away at Liverpool and drawing at Mna u in the same season was a thing of dreams from the 60s onwards. Well done the club, and the superb away support, Iam sadly a stay at home and wait for the result fan these days

QED when some other green behind the ears posts the same rumour, you are not the only one who reads Facebook or listens to pub talk

yeah I just read it on Facebook and so it must be true

The players giving MP both barrels is a lie
-
As a matter of interest did you Glasgow, or CBFRy go to Sunderland? I know VFTT did. I would suggest the fans who travelled have a good reason to complain more wheras fans like myself who wait for the glory games before going up north for games have little reason to complain as we can't motivate ourselves unless it is a qtr final or Wembley. If we had sold out our allocation and had fans asking for more that may have sent a message to Mp that we were interested, but playing games in half full stadia home and away the foreign manager and owners might take things more seriously. I don't understand why the concept of playing KD in the game is heresy either as you have to give the squad games.
-
i thought my reply at the time was enough, his assertion that'll MP got both barrels from the senior players is nonsense.
-
are you GS mouthpiece/agent?
-
You cannot stop your made up theories. I do not believe the manager got both barrels, especially as the senior players were on the pitch. I do not mind a fair debate but don't make up things and repeat them to try and make them truth
-
I suggest in the cold light of day you may not feel so great either. The aggression is uncalled for FC had a couple of spiteful posts thrown at him.H e did not cast the first stone IMO. At the end of the day I think we all see the opportunity to get to play Hull away was lost, who was at fault is where we mainly differ. The team did not perform IMO ,wheras I take it others think the manager was at fault due to the team selection.

see I told you all we have a lot of Skate posters on here in the background -
lol. Yep. Your idea of going to Wembley is not mine. I have watched us lose in semis before and I don't think it would make any easier having it played at Wembley. I still feel the scars of 84
-
So a dead cert then? If we had beaten Hull and the draw was kind to us then we may have got to Wembley
-
When we went to Arsenal we were looking pretty good. IMO that result took a bit of belief away. Yes we could have progressed in the cup, but if you were told Saints were to play a bottom 3team with 9 changes and we had 3 you would expect to at least draw. Had we put away just 1of our fairly simple chances we would have had a result. I would have played all the best 11 on the day, but the team put out should have easily coped.
-
ok Wembley would be nice, still a leap of faith if you thought we would have got there. The biggest game of the season IMO was Arsenal away where. Borucs gaff put a pin in the balloon

thanks
