Hodgson is a canny old man and will not risk players from unfashionable clubs, as that would give the press an extra chance to attack him if there is a poor result. they were in serious relegation trouble and so I doubt even the fans who are moaning would understand playing that weakened side. I wonder if our team/manager turned up after listening to Poyet saying they weren't worried thought it would be easy and so got shocked

Iam sure the fans of those clubs have memories that live forever and will soften the blow of their present position. Those are the hardcore fans of course, the rest have drifted away and will only return in the good days. Being PL is more important now than ever as the gap is widening by the year and if those teams do not return in the next 2years or so they will be cut adrift financially. I would love the club to have put the FA cup above 8th position, but I would not want to win a cup and go back down. The players should shoulder some of the pain as they did let themselves down , it is just odd why they were not up for it especially as we had a british core

Frank, Duncan is far from an angel on here. I have not personally attacked his books, and i think many find it incredulous that within a week or so of the club taking his book back into the club shop, and the other fan friendly moves, he attacks the club regarding how it treats the fans
